Made a custom bracket for the air filter. And yes the adapter is hot pink its all the part store had(desperate times). Also got the power steering going.

    Current to do list
Swap T100 differentials axle code A11A 4:30 gear ratio with the 4runner diffs which are G294 4:10 ratio and put in a spartan lock in the t100 so I can have a drop in ready licked diff with a slighty better gear ratio.

Edit: I also believe the torsion bars are compatible between trucks and Im going to try swapping them because the 4runner bars are completely wore out.

Wow that doesn't sound bad at all. Plus Timmy the Toolman just did a 4 part series on the swap so I'll sit down for a day and binge that before I start collecting parts (eventually...) ha

Getting a donor T100 is the ticket. Oil pan and dipstuck tube are correct. Mine was more on the difficult side since I wanted an automatic tranny and the A.D.D. front diff. Buying a harness will save you time, however your better off if you can do your own wiring for trouble shooting in the future. Theres a pretty good 3.4 swap group on facebook that has a ton of useful info.

Oh nice didn’t know the t100 was the better option. I’ll keep an eye out for those and probably search that group too.

Also do you have heat/AC still? Did you keep the 3.4 alternator?

I did not keep AC my T100 was alread missing the compressor and I had already removed the 3.0 compressor and condenser because they were shot. I reused the 3.0 alternator and the lower bracket , it bolts on and plugs in no hassle.

Replaced drivers side cv axle with an LCE axle and its way better then the store bought ones, absolutely no bind at full droop. And a extended steel braided rear brake line from LCE.

Scored some free enkei wheels. These things are super light, can immediately feel a difference in acceleration.

Nice Build! I want to swap to 3.4 in my 88 3.0 4Runner Ive been looking at motors.....I actually bought a already pulled "good" Motor 2 years ago and got hosed. The motor had at least one rod broke and no compression on the whole one side of the engine....I may just take a loan out and go with a toyonlyswaps rebuilt motor or something like that. That way I am not chancing pulling a motor from a junkyard or picking up a wore out motor in a truck with 300,000 mi and a bad frame.

Funny thing is toyonly swaps isnt that far away from me. But I really think your best bet is to find a wrecked truck that can run that way its cheap and you know it runs, plus you have all the wiring, brackets, bolts and odds and ends at hand.

Worse case scenario is if I find a junk truck with a motor I could pick the whole thing up and rebuild the motor....never done that before..but gotta learn sometime haha.

Did my 3.4 swap years ago on my '90 SR5 truck, using an '02 Taco as donor. My full writeup is in the 3.4 swap section on Yotatech, though most of the pics are long gone. I second having the whole donor truck, as it made for a lot less searching for the fiddley bits that you'll need.

That's my plan as well is to find a wrecked manual, 4WD 3.4 in either a Taco, 4Runner or T100. Just hope the miles aren't too high, but still plan on doing head gaskets, timing belt/WP, new clutch, rear main seal, oil pan seal, spark plugs/wires, PCV valve and maybe a rebuild of the PS pump to freshen it up a bit

Some proof that it can do fun stuff, took it to the dunes while the tacoma was down, but this is the only pic I have of it while I was there for a week.

Man im telling ya, T100 is the ticket, plus it uses the same diffs, brakes rotors and front suspension gauge cluster is the same so you have alot of other spare parts as well.
