So I've burned about 80 hours at work reading various builds and info on here, so I decided the best way to stay motivated and get out there is to get this started.
well I bought this 1999 SR5 a couple months ago from a co worker and it's got some good, bad, and ugly. This will be a slow build since I'm getting married, live in the Bay Area and ... Life. However I do guarantee shninagans, tube, exo, and future wife crying. Possibilities include parts that were intended for my other first gen (Blazer) H1's with 42's and who knows what else. I've lurked before but here I'm looking forward to the support and motivation to do this in stages so I can get out and enjoy it along the way.

As is, off hand, gotta find the details from the PO email

    1999 SR5 extended cab
    Verns camper shell
    Recarro vented/heated seats
Boxed rear frame(I'm gonna need to touch this one up)
    OH YEAH! It's supercharged
7th injected with pump (needs more tuning)
    OME Dakar leafs
    Total Chaos UAR's
Fox coil overs, dunno spring rates
Hacked in light bar inside stock plastic area of front bumper

    Near term goals:
    Clean up
    Tube front bumper
    Sliders
    Tune injection
Maybe overdrive supercharger and upgrade the stock injectors?
Dress up the rear frame boxing
Oh yeah... Do something about those headlights!image.jpg
It's going to pismo next weekend with a bike on the hitch hauler as is and we'll see how it progresses from there.

Nice man. Need to lose that front bumper asap . Props for s/c. I recommend the 2.2" if you have the 7th. I also recommend methanol but that's another story. Good luck!

Changed oil, plasti dipped the fender flares and started waxing. Starting to look much better. Tomorrow finish waxing and hopefully gray wire mod and start setting up for camping next weekend.

Looks like the rear main is seeping, not bad but it's accumulating. I also think the throw out bearing is making some noise so that will go on the list, probably do a whole clutch job while I'm in there so I need to look into options there. Also might be some coming from the oil pan, so ill have a chance to check out how clean the bottom end looks. Mechanic that recently adjusted the valves said the top end looked really clean, so that's good.

Methanol? Tell me more! I know what it does but my info is more in relation to diesels. Are there kits for the taco? Or home brew? I'm able to piece stuff together with minimal guidance but too new to the gas/supercharged side of things to know what's best.

It basically functions as an intercooler, which is the biggest oversight on the s/c IMO. Depending on how you use your s/c, there are simple staged kits and progressive kits.

VR-10000-S and e-locker guard just showed up. E-locker guard will go on soon as rain stops, winch/bumper right after New Years
