    Has anyone used this: http://www.amazon.com/Midland-MXT10...64380488&sr=8-1&keywords=midland+micro+mobile

It's a mobile version of a GMRS radio, no FRS as it has an external antenna. I think something like this would be great for using spotters (if they had hand-held units), but I don't know if it would be a good buy for general trail use. How many people actually carry GMRS radios (handheld or otherwise) when on trails?
