Sad to read this. I have been recommending Mobtown sliders ever since I got mine. They are stupid solid! Sad day for Tacoma owners. Very glad I was able to get a set of sliders.

Sorry to hear the business ruined the hobby for you Joe. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors!

Just found this thread, How disappointing.

I was told "Your replacement panels will be complete and shipped no later than next week." by Joe.

Guess I am screwed then on getting those replacements?

    Edit:

It really burns to get lied to about receiving the replacements.

I did, But i'm not holding out hope considering the lies and not communicating that he was selling off the company.

All very disappointing, really wanted to get a rear bumper and set of skid plates eventually.

You often aren’t allowed to disclose that information during the process. Disclosing the sale could have potentially devalued the business and also could have resulted in prospective buyers backing out. Most sales are done confidentially.

Though I’m not sure why your upset about a bumper and skids as nothing is stopping you from ordering from another company. Sounds like a selfish whine.

And sounds like a defensive fanboy to me...

Anyways who says I'm upset about the bumper and skids?, I'm just disappointed I can't get matching items from the same company. Mobtown had some of the best items available so it's sad to see them burn out like this, and burn customers on the way out.

I don't see any customers getting burned but we will see where everything falls if the refunds come through. Sounds like Joe wasn't taking much orders in the end, maybe a few stragglers.

You clearly have not seen the issues with AllPro, Pelfrey and the others. Unlike Pelfrey, you didn't see Joe coming here and asking people to continue making orders and asking people to send cash.

Fanboy? I'm just being realistic with how this could have really gone to shit. What does Joe have to gain for coming here and letting people know what's up and offering refunds?

We also don't know what's to come of the IP Joe sold to whatever company. They could very well sell his items, just under a different name.

Joe, I had been emailing with you back and forth about getting my powder coat refund before your closure. I sent two emails to your refund email
(refund.mobtownoffroad@gmail.com) and have had no replies as usual. How can we finish this transaction and move on? I sent all documentation you requested in your post above.

Who has the front skid with the door to change the oil and had Mobtown powder coat it?
If so can you take a pic of it with out the door in it for me please. Thanks ahead of time?

Sorry to hear it didn't work out, or maybe it did in the end.
Front skid purchased July 1. Sent email request for refund or skid (if you still have some lying around!).
