Joe, if you were not intentionally doing it you should have spoken up before now with a status to all the people who paid you with their hard earned money that you took for a fabricated item. Listen man, it sucks I get it. But you owe it to everyone to hold up your end of the bargain. Guess we will see if Monday’s promise comes true…once again.

Better question is why would he even bother at all? Why come back and give any updates?

What’s the most interesting is that I don’t see a lot people posting about refunds for fabricated items they ordered.

9 posts in 3 years all whining about powder coat, having a tantrum here isnt going to help you out.

What is "most interesting" is your willingness defend mobtown and to overlook the fact that some people have legitimate reason to at least be upset.

"I don’t see a lot people posting about refunds"

How can you expect to see people posting when no communications were sent out to customers via any medium about the abrupt closure of the business that even went so far as to shut down the primary webpage and disconnected their phone number.

I only personally found out because I randomly happened to check these forums, I am sure there are probably a good number of people out there who still have no idea what is going on, compounded by the fact that mobtown is known for long lead times there is the likelihood of an additional number of people with unfulfilled orders who are sitting and waiting totally unaware that mobtown does not even exist anymore.

Good one, go troll somewhere else. Sorry it’s not worthy of your 8,077 messages. You putting in your keyboard warrior two cents about my comments doesn’t help anyone out either.

Honestly man it’s sounds like you’re trolling. You’re the only one bitching in this thread.

Mobtown doesn’t exist so there isn’t anything to defend. I’m just being realistic and in comparisons to the other fallouts it’s night and day in how things are handled. We had dozens of people out a couple thousand. I expected more people to chime in instead of one guy who stirs the pot every couple of weeks.

As far as long lead times, mobtown isn’t unique to this. I had to wait 18 weeks for my C4 bumper from years ago when supplies weren’t an issue and COVID wasn’t out of the lab. Mobtown was actually one of the first and few companies to allow customers to put a deposit down without having to fully commit up front. Wish more would do that.

I think part of the lack in communication is they probably didn’t have a backlog (maybe a few) in orders. Just leftover accounting issues. We have seen others posting that Mobtown began to stop taking ordered. If ol boy up top never got his $2500 bumper then I can understand.

Probably isn’t a need to have his thread open anyway.

My transfer case mount welds cracked. I ground them down and got a local to weld them (and some other stuff) for $50

I don’t know for sure but from what I know of Motown they’re pretty stand up dudes. I’m fairly confident you will all get your money back or product. Be patient (I know you have been) selling a business has a lot of ins and outs and what have you’s.

    In progress.... And getting better!
So sorry to hear that @Mobtown Offroad has closed. I totally love my sliders and have been telling folks for the past several years about how burly they are. Hell, even today I sent their name to a buddy of mine who was interested in getting a pair. Best of luck to you Joe and thanks again for the fucking awesome sliders!

My skids arrived on time and a small order mistake was quickly remedied by them after I spoke with Joe on the phone. They provided me excellent customer service and were available whenever I called. Thanks Joe, and good luck with that new project, whatever it may be!

    Hang in there Joe!!

Having gone through a buy out myself I know the pure hell your going through. There can be so many different ways this can be done.

Then it took over 2 years to get everything sorted.

I was one of the many persistent enough to wait and was not disappointed. Being continually deployed helped pass the time, but time moves on and so do lives and business ventures. Good luck for the future, Joe!

Any one have one avail? Joe any used or semi finished assemblies around that weren't part of the sale.. I don't really need the d-ring mounts Well good luck to you ...
