I'll be getting mobtown after I get a lift. Which will be a while.

@Mobtown Offroad has the flexing into the pinch weld been corrected?

I never even noticed if this was an issue with mine. But then, if I get into a situation where I really need to test it I have bigger problems to worry about.

I love mine but I did have issues with the holes lining up correctly. They were out of spec on mine by about 2mm. I ended up having to drill the frame. Painted it up good where I drilled. Had no issues jacking my truck with them and they have already saved me from a few door dings from idiots in parking lots.

While I agree with this 100%, I highly doubt we will ever see this happen. He comes across as an early 20 year old person who had everything handed down to him. While I'm noway saying that every 20 year old guy/girl is like this, but from my experience and work, this seems to be the trend. It's all about I want this and want it now attitude that a lot of them have nowadays. Nothing you can do will make him happy. I can say the customer service mobtown has been doing is fantastic and I wouldn't hesitate to buy a set today if I wanted some.

Our original design had them what we learned was a touch too high and tight to the truck. We had only a few state it was to close to comfort. So we lowered them a small amount. No more issues.

Looking forward to receiving my sliders. Thanks for proving again that you stand behind your product and always err on the side of the customer even when he is wrong. Almost nobody does that anymore.

Yes. Anyone with an order currently in house is at the new rev. We started doing it a month ago.

Sorry, not trying to beat a dead horse. I got mine about a month ago from you guys (order 3312). So I'm assuming mine is pre design modification. I'm just getting to putting them on tomorrow (some kid scraped along the side of my truck and I just got it back from the paint shop last week). I'm just wondering how big of an issue this really is. Seems blown out of proportion, but I just want to make sure. How likely, if at all, am I to damage that weld while using the rock sliders? Thank you.

Breaking that pinch weld can lead to leaks and other body deformations (as demonstrated by the pinch weld mod to increase tire size).

Maybe an exchange can be made for the newer revised model?

Do you feel like that because some people have questions that you feel they should already know if they "wheel?" =)

Awsome! Thank you very much. Just curious, for those that are pre revision, would they not be able to use a spacer to prevent it from touching the pinch weld?

I got mine raw and coated them locally. My experience is that anything shipped like this is going to be dented and scratched from being run over by fork lifts anyway.
