    Yeah, Amazon here...

Just search via the RAM part number from the RAM site and usually lots of their stuff is sold via Prime also.

Got my A-Pillar mod completed and Techdeck XTreme installed!

I went with a M6-1.0 x 60mm bolt and stacked nylon spacers to get the ball a little further out. I was using a 50mm at first, but it seemed to limit my position options. I'm probably going to go with the articulating arm as well vs. the super shorty. I got the bolt and spacers from my local Ace Hardware store.

Still need to run my external antenna wire and fab up or buy a driver's side fender lip mount. The CBi looks really nice, but it's $40 plus shipping.....

Got mine done yesterday couldn't find the bolt recommended so I got a Phillips M6x60mm. Happy with the turn out thanks @G.T.

I have the ram suction cup mount and had it mounted about where this mod puts it. Just ordered my ball mount. Super excited to do this mod!

Has anyone tried using their phone's camera while on the a pillar mount? I like to use mine as a dash cam so curious if this would work.

I've done it a few times and while it works, I'm glad I have a dedicated dash cam.

Found this thread a week or so ago and finally got the parts in to install them. Went with the short arm to keep it close to the pillar. The ball on the ultragauge bracket is smaller and did not fit so I wrapped rubber bads around the ball to beef it up so it would grab. Came out great. I am guessing the rubber bands will not hold up for too long, but it works for now. Thanks to the op for this thread.

What about using a big rubber cap for vacuum line over it? like these 1" ones? Might cover the bolt toward the pillar a bit too.

So I tried to grab the 6mm 50mm bolt after work today at lowes since all my ram parts had come in the mail today. Lowes biggest cap screw was 1", ugh, figured I'd hit ace hardware by my house instead. Longest ace had was 45mm so I figured I'd try it. Put it all together (1" arm) and it works, but I definitely need a longer bolt. I wanted my phone (iPhone 6 plus) to be vertical rather than horizontal and I still need the ball to stick out a hair more to do that. Onto a different hardware store tomorrow after work!

I used a 60mm bolt. Pushed it a good bit farther than the 50mm.

Did mine earlier this week. Haven't gotten a picture yet.

Used a 55mm bolt that I found at Ace Hardware. Might upgrade to a bigger bolt down the road.

I'll also go with the double socket swivel arm eventually. my note 4 is a nudge big and hides behind the steering wheel.

Got a normal 60mm bolt and nylon spacer plus lock washer and nut today. Much better!

I'm going to Ace tomorrow for a nylon spacer!

I have about 7-9 small washers all stacked up under mine! Can you say Ghetto! Lol...

I remember seeing this mod but the member that did it cut the factory bolt cover to really clean it up. Does anyone know where I can find that one? Thanks for any help.

I have the short arm, longer arm and the articulating one. The articulating one gets the fon in my preferred spot the best but the thing shakes and vibrates and the reflection off the screen is annoying. Went back to using the long arm. Fon is Note 3 so it isn't the lightest. Just free info..............
