received my letter about the economic stimulus payment. 130 million people are getting at least $600. if our govt is giving away something they dont have. why not give away $2000 each. $600 is a joke if you ask me. it wont even economically stimulate my next mod. but i'll take it :D

i have a question about how they work. i have heard taht its a "gift" and i have heard from some people that its an advance from next years tas return. so which is it? if it's an advance for next years return i'm gonna call the IRS and just tell them to keep it.

yea, I'm sure we will have to pay tax on it sooner or later. I also think 600 bucks is a joke to "stimulate our economy". Jeez. Oh well, I'm gonna use it to open up a Roth IRA. Because when I retire I want to be SET.

I believe it will be considered taxable income for next years taxes. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll get to spend any on my truck since I used about $900 of my tax return on mods.:(
