Tried vinyl wrapping my roof matte black. Total fail. Bubbles everywhere and couldn’t get it to lay down right around the shark fin. Had it on for like 17 hours and tore it all off.

Not a mod, but I always fail at using the damn ratcheting straps everytime I help a friend move something.

I toasted something with my inverter trying to do the 400w anytime mod. Not a mod you want to do without much light, ended up grounding the wrong wire. Bought a new(used) inverter and still no worky... So going gut the old inverter out out and put in an after market one.

I thought I was the only person that removed those stupid warning labels from inside the bed and the outlet thing!

All warning labels must die, unless they actually say something useful. Something more important than water is wet.

Half expecting 3 or 4 chickens and a couple of pigs to start scrambling out that thing. His next mod will be hanging the little fuzzy balls across the windshield inside.

I installed Meso's puddle pod lights. While the lights work fine and the install is complete. What took most 1.5-3 hours. Took me 8 hours, 4 beers, a trip to starbucks and a lunch break somewhere in between out of town with my wife.

Painting my BFF HC Rear w/swingout:

Built a temporary paint booth from an EZ-Up wrapped in plastic (hot as hell inside/little to no ventilation). While trying to maneuver the bumper around to paint the inside it dropped on my arm and I've had nerve issues for the last few months. Also, now the inside (which was damn near impossible to prime/paint completely is rusting after one winter...Dropped it off for media blasting and powdercoat last weekend. Was not going to try to re-paint it myself and have it still be crappy so I found a powdercoater that quoted me only $400-$450 for blasting and PC. Should've just done that from the beginning but I wanted to be able to easily repair the paint when I inevitably scrape the bumper up.

fishing the wire through the door boot? I had to do that for the passenger smart handle mod. I ended up using a chopstick like a sewing needle and got it through super fast... after spending hours doing it the hard way.

Not sure if you read my solution. But I had a pretty large gauge wire used for a sprinkler system. I taped one end to a long screwdriver and put soapy water around it and it slid through like butter. Tied the other end off to the Meso harness, taped and soaped and pulled it right through with ease. Unfortunately it took me 2 hours to come up with that solution.

First post on the forums, yall are cool so I made an account.

I tried to plastidip my hood, I taped off and used damn near a whole can just to spray the little 'trench' in the hood that's right up on the rain tray and windshield. That convex little curve it has reflects the sun directly into my eyes.

So after spraying it down, I forgot to peel the tape off while it was wet and completely biffed it, it immediately peeled up with the tape. Been searching for other options like vinyl wrap or matte paint now.
