    Thanks Tom,
I gave up on the arms, Ghosted is the word! The arms just didnt do much for me as far as strength, especially exposed to heat and then haul tail in the des over whoops. I actually started designing an aluminum ring to mate them together and have it CNC'd, but it looks like your set up is fairly easy and with that many attachment points it looks like it will be strong/resilient.

was it Down East offroad (DEO)? For the arms

    What about the gap filler?

Meso's arms seemed to be well built and should be worry free. The DEO arms would have me nervous everytime my junk saw dirt.

The fan and shroud are tied in solid with the way I mounted everything together. It was a little time consuming making sure the holes I made in the OEM shroud lined up with the holes I made E-Fan shroud.

After years of "I probably should do this" after reading @Mach375 thread, I finaly did it!

Came across this 3.5L Ecoboost Cold Air Intake system from a buy back( all buy backs have to go back to 100% stock before resale). I offered it to anyone who wanted it in the LongTravel Thread a few months back, but nobody was too interested.
And just about when I was going to scrap it, I said I bet I can make this work on my own junk

So here it is.. took the longer tube and elbows for myself and scraped the rest of it

Removed the Logo from the discarded tube..

And installed it on the good tube, a good ol' 10 dollar harbor frieght rivet maker was the most appropriate tool for the job. The Logo is money..

Cut to kinda the appropriate length, plugged up a small hole, ground off some excess material and its like it was made for my junk straight from a factory..

Originally, 8 years ago I missed getting the IEDS Carrier Bearing through the group buy by a day or two. So I went in person to get one at the IEDS shop, they still honored me the group buy discount when I went to pay.

fast forward 8 years later....Last week I go in person to purchase another one, I was still in the system with notes from the original visit and got the Group Buy discount price again!!! Can't beat that kind of customer service!!

It was time for a new one.. after 8 years the actual center bearing had separated from the polyurethane..

The new one looking so fresh before the install..

    Installed with fresh U-joints..

Installed with a fresh new nut with some Red Lock-Tite applied and torqued to spec found in the WSM
    [IMG]

Not looking so good.. but 8 years of service compared to the OEM center bearing that I was going through often at the time. The bearing itself still spins freely

Ready for another 8 years of abuse!!
