Recently I opened (tilted upwards) my moon roof after not opening it since last fall. It looks to open to about 1" on the back edge. I remember it opening to a greater degree than just 1". Am I just mis-remembering, or should it be opening more? Looked in the manual and nothing there. Did a cursory search on TW and found nothing there.

On the tilt function it does not open very high, yours sounds normal.

    One inch sounds about right.

Thanks for your replies. Might just be a matter of perspective, but Ronzio's photo makes that opening look like much more than 1". Also, on mine, the side folding 'baffles', or whatever they're called, are at best just halfway unfolded.

I am with the others, you are probably OK.. Take a measurement from the yellow dot or area ( in the pic above) if yours does not have it to the top of the roof and let us know, or a pic from the same perspective and post.

Photo is deceiving it’s 1 inch at most and the accordion style baffles are not fully extended I would say less than half on the baffles.

More for slight air flow. If I dont want all the windows open I'll lift it and open just the slider in the back and it gives you some decent airflow without all the noise. Disclaimer: I come a lot of door-less jeeps

Ok, I just went out and measured mine from the yellow dot to the top of the roof. At best, it is an inch. You are fine OP.
