Finished a good long day in the backcountry snowboarding/splitboarding, got back to the truck and found this.....

waited 15 minutes and she wouldn't leave, was licking the salt off my truck. A car turned up and we got him to drive up and scare the moose away.

funny. maybe if there were more moose around licking the salt off our trucks, toyota wouldn't have such a problem with frame rot.

reminds me of my time in alaska - had to get into the habit of peeking out the door of the house and at work to make sure the coast was clear before trekking out to the car. at one point i had about 5 moose hanging out at my place.

i was through there just a few days before that happened. i think that guy was full of crap saying he didn't see them. everyone in the area knows that herd is there and drivers are usually on the lookout for them. also saying the sun was in his eyes?!?! at noon?!? sorry. i don't believe it.

Nice pic. Have run into many moose myself around my folks place in NH. Mt biking, hiking, and even booting up w/ the board for some backcountry runs. In July was on a dense narrow path and there was momma moose 20 ft in front of me w/ two calves. Not a good time for a surprise, very slowy backed up and got outta there.

Wise to the let the car shooo her off. Now where's the boarding pics?

Just as an afterthought since so many complain about the weak paint, did the Moose's tongue scratch the paint? LOL

Oh and just think, with the ticking engine you can honestly say, it took a lickin' and kept on tickin'. I know, that was bad.
