I also installed Morimoto Elite HID 35w with 4500 bulbs. The kit is superb and the wire harness with dual relay is second to none. I did order a second set of bulbs except this time I'm going to try the 5500k variety.

I guess in my haste to install I didn't quite pay attention. When I ordered my xenon Depot hid, I just connected everything and installed. I need to go back to install my rtmr. Would I be able to just unplug the relay?

I've been really happy with the xenon Depot hids so far.

Edit: went with the Philips 4300

Anyone have a pic of the Phillips 4300k against the LED running light to see how well they match? I'm ready to order as well, and if this is the way to go will place my order tonight.

I followed @Scooby24 thread and mounted the ballasts utilizing two ground screws on either side of the engine bay. This required drilling one of the three mounting holes on each ballast. Then routed the wires accordingly. I also wrapped the cords in split loom for a factory look. Came out real clean

I ran the wiring under the bracket for the fuse box on the DS and under the intake tube on the PS and mounted them on the side of the inner fender with the foam tape. The ballasts are pretty compact and lighter than the hyluxtek ones.

Of course I got an email this morning from xenon depot stating that the 4300k Phillips bulbs are on back order til the week of June 12th. Oh well, but just a heads up for anyone planning on buying the Phillips bulbs.

The set I ordered from xenon depot are h11b. I didn't order the vehicle specific kit because it didn't show them as h11b. So I just went through the tabs and found h11b.

I haven't received them yet. The Phillips bulbs are on backorder, so a bunch of us suckers are waiting hopefully no more than a few weeks.

They said the philips bulbs are wired the same...the picture they have on the site of the philips shows the return wire in the H11B orientation so I think we're good.

This is a Morimoto kit but it should give you an idea. The passenger side has an empty threaded hole by the fan shroud that worked perfectly.

I ordered the Xenon Depot kit with the 4300K Philips bulbs for my truck. 3 days after installing the bulbs, I noticed the drivers side shaking around more than the passenger side. When I removed the bulb, I noticed that one of the three tabs which hold the bulb in place broke off. It was stupid lucky that the piece which broke off I could see just inside the projector and I managed to fish it out. I ordered the Morimoto 4500K bulbs from TRS and noticed that their bulb design was much better. No more weak point on the tab which broke off the Philips bulbs to break on the Morimoto bulbs. Food for thought. The Xenon Depot balasts and wiring is really nice and they are powering the Morimoto bulbs with no issues.

Were the XD bulbs as hard as Morimoto to get turned in? Those Morimoto bulbs require a herculean effort, especially on the passenger side.

The Morimoto bulbs were more difficult to install, but only marginally. The awkward angle makes it seem like only the Hulk can install them.
