Yes, the kit was a bit bulkier than expected as I incorrectly presumed I was getting specific connectors for my vehicle when I ordered a vehicle specific kit, but it's all buttoned up now and functioning. Just need a chance to drive it at night and see how much light they put out.

    Thanks!

    HELP!
Just got my kit with XD 5000k bulbs. By chance did any one have trouble installing & seating bulb? Mine have blue rubber seals, about twice the material of factory & Philip halogen H11 I had before. Feels like rubber seal is too fat.

@Doomsday you can always reuse the factory halogen bulb seals if you feel that blue XD seals are too thick. Make sure you practice re-insert the old halogen bulb into the light housing and pay close attention to the three seating prongs. Position the HID bulbs with the prongs point the same way. Don't force it. Those prongs are crazy brittle and once they snap off. You're eff'd. Ask me how I know.

Thanks, thats what I ended up doing. Switched seals from factory halogens. Still snug, but not impossible as before. I was trying to post side by side pic, but photobucket been weird lately.

Yes, this happens with some installs as we provide a thicker rubber grommet as some vehicles need them. To fix the issue you are having, simply remove the blue grommet and replace it with the one from your halogen bulb.

Glad to see you were able to get them installed :)

What about the relays, keep them installed? I just wanted to quick install and enjoy. I used up a bunch of tie wraps, but this weekend gonna clean it up and do it better.

Just wanted to share that my XD Philips 4300k bulbs are still doing great and I haven't noticed any shaking issues. I am running Hylux 35W ballasts without a relay wiring harness, the only thing I changed with put 15A fuses in the low beam fuse locations instead of the stock 10A.

That wasn't the correct fuse to change out. Each side has a 10 amp and there's a 15 amp combined fuse as well.

As I gather, each ballast draws 8ish amps on warmup which is below the 10 amp/side allowance, but at/above the 15 amp combined. That one is still at risk of blowing. You need to replace the 15amp with a 20amp if you wish to risk no relay harness.

Where can I find this combined fuse? It's not the high beam fuses, is it?

@GotToyota - Thank you for taking the time to post up some feedback. You will notice a very slight color shift after approximately 100 hours of use -- they will get "Crisper".

Any of you guys who are not using relay harnesses for your HID retros are making a terrible mistake IMHO. Use a harness with relays. Why change the fuses in your truck from factory? Morimoto harnesses only cost 30 bucks or so, not sure about XD, as I am not familiar with them. Very cheap insurance to protect your vehicle's electrical system. TRS fanboy here so I pretty much stick with Morimoto but I am sure XD makes a good product as well. Relay harnesses are easy to make as well if one desires to go that route as well.

HID installs in halogen projectors are like doing you know what with a rubber on. Still fun, but man it could be so much better if you know what I mean. I get some are just not into HID lighting and willing to settle for whatever but if you ever get to drive anything with the Morimoto Mini D2S 4.0 with Osram NightBreakers, you will never look back. Just sayin'

@XenonDepot looking for a set of high quality LEDs in 2800k 3000k H11 yellow/amber to go into the fogs. What discount can you give to a repeated customer and active first responder?

I found the 3000k HID from morimoto lacks the true yellow. It so bright it starts to wash off into light yellow/slight white. I'm trying a pair of LEDs to see if I can get that crips pure yellow. Hid has it place but not the 3000k range.
    About the rubber. Agreed wholeheartedly

No experience there with their 3000K. If I use Morimoto bulbs it is their 5500K. Very good light output and performance for 40 bucks a pair. Partial to NightBreakers though for the best setup.

Aren't the Night Breakers halogen? I think I came across them in my search for a H9 highbeam but they didn't make one. Headed up with Hella 2.0
