Go get a dynamic wheel balance. this will place wheel weights in two areas not like a static that they just balance off the wheel center. A dynamic will place weight behind the spokes then again on the inner lip. A lot of the time its just poor wheel balancing practice/laziness of the techs that do the easiest quickest job, not whats necessarily needed.

I have Moto Metals also, in 17 X 9 and running 285's. Without the hub centric rings it was a night mare to drive. I had the tires balanced a couple times, and rotated to different axles and it still didn't help. I finally saw the post about the rings and installed a set. It completely solved the problem.

Sounds like my situation--I only notice it between 50-60mph sometimes 65mph. I am putting in my order in today and hopefully that will resolve the issue. I'll keep you posted.

Installed rings yesterday, did some Hwy driving and really seemed to help. Alot of my wandering feeling seemed to go away. Still a faint vibration sometimes but i think over time those will smooth out as the tires may be wore a little awkward. My front end is pretty tired and in need of some attenion also. LCA bushings are shot i believe. Im gonna give it some miles and see from there but i think overall they helped alot.

I just did the rings a couple weeks ago. Noticed a minor improvement but still have a slight vib, mostly when slowing. Not bad but was hoping the rings would fix it. Maybe from the 5100's I guess since they're known to cause vibes too, at least on 4x4's anyway.

Vibrations at certain speeds are almost always caused by wheels being out of balance, or by needing hub centric rings.

Vibes felt in the seat are coming from the rear tires.

Vibes felt in the steering wheel mean it is the fronts.

Vibes felt only while braking means the rotors are warped - sometimes the drums but more likely the rotors.

Loose front end parts can cause cupping on the tires, which will lead to a constant 'vibration' at all speeds.

Vibrations are never caused by alignment, unless the alignment is out so bad that the tires are literally bouncing down the road from scrubbing caused by excessive alignment issues, in which case you would be able to see the issues with the naked eye.

Alignment will cause tire wear, off center steering wheel, wandering, and pulling.
