    My motor is chirping.

I cant explain it any better than that. got the supercharger installed and now i get a chirp at about 900-1500rpm.. changed every pully( warrenty) and now its still there. Its done this since about 2 days after install and never before .Ive put approx 2k on since then and chirping is still there and seems to be getting louder. They now suggesting oil pump replacement or even a full lower crank case bearing.(seems to get louder as motor heats up) Please for the love of god someone tell me they had this problem and its something simple.don't really want to do a full short-block change . Any help would be appreciated.

Well it turned out to be the oil pump . New one installed .and with only 1800km on motor when it did it hope the problem is solved.

Well it was only noticeable when starting or at low rpm. Replaced oil pump and running fully synthetic now. Since then no more noise. If you have the same noise i would strongly recommend a revisit to the toyota dealership and have them check it out.

    If your still under warranty.

How much did the dealer invoice say the repairs cost?

I'm just curious because my engine is exhibiting similar issues. Pretty sure mine is past the point of just replacing the oil pump.

It's funny that I have been seeing so many major engine issues recently because these 'were' supposed to be the best engines they have produced yet. I am finding this claim to be inaccurate.

I started a thread for major engine component failure. If you would add your info that would be great.

If Toyota never hears of the issues they will never fix them so I figured it's good for all to air their dirty laundry. :D

I know they have people in here :spy:

I hope the main and rod bearing clearances were checked - a failing oil pump could lead to a spun bearing later on if you didn't replace it soon enough. Would hate for you to be out of warranty in the future and have a spun bearing due to lack of oil pressure prematurely wearing out the bearings from this incident.

As a lowly salesman i didnt ask if they checked the bearing.Head tech did repair and parts without labour were just short of $700. As a salesman i have only heard of one other Taco having a similar problem, and it was on this forum that i became aware of a possible problem being apparent in these oil pumps.

 To install Supercharger they had to take the crankshaft bolt out. Looks like they forgot to tighten it up.
I hope the guy who installed supercharger for you is not repairing cars for customers.

So far none of those issues are Toyota fault. So what Toyota supposed to do not sell truck to people who can't take care of it?

I see a lot of comments on here about supercharger installation cost and time to do. When I had mine done I talked to the tech doing it and he freely admitted he was not the fastest but was probably the most anal. He was also one of the most experienced. That is just the type of person I wanted working on my truck and I told him not to rush and to take as long as needed. I had to wait a little longer than expected but considering how many years I had to wait to be able to get the truck a few more hours was nothing. When it comes to a big component install I would rather it does not get rushed and risk having something missed liked tightening up a crankshaft bolt.

Who had bad oil pump ?
1GRFE oil pump consists of two gears. So when somebody says bad oil pump that would mean either the crank Drive gear was bad or Main Gear was bad.
Op's problem is not bad oil pump. It was retarded mechanic who was installing supercharger and did not tighten Crankshaft bolt to specs.

Who had bad bearings in engine ?
    Example please.

If you look on the pictures owner put out, its clear something weird was poured into the engine instead of oil. H wrote it was chirping (so oil pump was trying to turn) there are only few posiblites with those oil pump.
    1. Crankshaft bolt lose (it will not have enough force to turn oil pump)
    2. Something is clogging the oil pickup line
    3. You bypass valve is stuck open (you won't get chirp from that)

In your case , didn't you run engine with some crappy air filter that was sending dirt to intake. So whats the difference if your bearings failed. If you run engine with no air filter eventually something is going to go.
I still don't see massive problem with engine. What I see bunch of people who have problems maintaining their vehicles.

    What do you mean crankshaft bolt loose? The harmonic balancer on the front of the crankshaft? If its "loose" then yeah you'll get some issues. However that's not the end of the engine. Here's an idea;

Tighten it up. Use a breaker bar. If it helps bring it to the dealer. Say hey, the front crank bolt is loose, what the hell? Got a major noise and I want it fixed.

If it turns out to be something bigger, well that's still a dealer issue.
