    Well id like to get to around 450 TQ. hp i dont care

    Lowered,leather interior,system,1jz swap,rims,painted bumpers mirrors ect
    Have you checked into the diesel conversions their pretty cool. Also that torque range would be around 550hp and is capable stock except turbo and injectors. Also vvti set up torqe is almost 1500rpm faster than non vvti but the ecu is normally locked so you end up having to use a stand alone instead of a piggy back. Also changing cams will cause the power band to move from 7500 to over 8000 but some say it makes the turbo spool faster. I just think if your looking for torque thisbis the wrong engine for you.also look into a 2uz or the 5.7 Toyota motor that would be nice. You also have a 4.0 in yours or 4.4 a 2j is only a 3.0 like they say there is no substitution for ci. The cost of the 2j and adapters you could forge yours then add a turbo. The torque powerband is just to highvon a 2j gte. Ill help you if you go through it any way possible. If your dead set on a 2j go ge because compression is higher then a turbo kit and injectors also do vvti a stand alone and the torque range will be a lot lower than a regular get. A ge and everything would be under 5000 $ and they can handle 500flbs.the ge is highest compression so more low end torque. Look at dyno charts a gte torque stays consistent with hp band up into 7000rpm where a v8 torque comes on a lot fast up till around 3000rpm then starts to follow hp.

    At this point, it would be the easiest.

    PowerFab, has already made three kits and are starting a fourth. www.powerfabauto.com Their fabricator is a member here. Sik X. He did Toon714's, Clifford's, and his own. Working on Red Lantern's. That is if you want turbo POWA.

    URD has a bolt-on kit for the Rotrex S/C. Their MKIII is serious beast.

    Then of course the TRD.

    Being an auto, the only trans upgrade needed, will be the IPT valve body upgrade. Once you start putting down some good wtq numbers. Auto trans is pretty damn good.
