    Greetings,
I have a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4x4 regular Cab with 2.7 L engine, 5 speed manual. I'd like to mount a motorcycle carrier on the back and would appreciate some help in choosing the proper/safe mounting system. The bike I will be hauling is a ROKON Scout 2x2 off road bike that weighs about 250lbs. The bike came with an SMC-600 Sport Motorcycle Carrier that is pretty heavy, maybe 100 lbs. Total weight would be around 350-400 max. Any opinions or other options appreciated.
    Thanks

Why not just load it up on the bed? I had a buddy that had a M/C hitch carrier, and it didnt look that stable. I would be scared having my M/C hanging off the back.

It won't fit with the tailgate up unless it's turned sideways and the wheel is turned as hard as I can turn it. Very hard to strap down.

I usually just throw my street bikes in the bed with ramps. The hitch type carrier makes me nervous. Theres just too much that can go wrong. As soon as I have a place to store it, I'm buying a trailer.
