I'll run with the metallic blue tank from a '12 model. If I don't like it, I'll have the original silver tank repainted in metal flake red and sell the blue tank.

I took the bike out for my side hustle Monday night. It was 40 degrees. My new dual layer Joe Rocket jacket was great, but my gloves and pants were lacking in wind protection. Guess I'll be looking for riding jeans and thicker gloves in my future. Tomorrow is 39 degrees. That doesn't sound nice at 45-65mph for 37 miles.

I look forward to commuting in the Spring and Summer. The Summer heat is the main thing that keeps me debating against buying a new black helmet.

haha im starting to be more so slowly. i used to ride no matter what. got rained on enough thats unpleasant. wont let it stop me if im out but im not doing it on purpose either.

half the wrecks i see from cars in the rain or cold make me not want to be anywhere near them on a bike.
gloves are a huge thing. i woulsnt mind those hippo hand covers or whatever they are called that go over the bars

I would ride more if my bike wasn't giving me issues.

I had a Shoei RF-1000 when I had my Ninja. They definitely make nice helmets!

I just jumped on one of these before they ran out of stock: https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/bell-bullitt-forge-helmet. I'm not crazy about the graphic either but it's still a helluva deal.

I am supposed to have done a bunch of stuff to mine but I've just been lazy. I've got tank lift, wire tuck and lowering kit to throw on. Shouldn't take me long, though. Maybe tonight or this weekend.

My daughter took her MSF course this week and passed! She skipped 3 days of med school so she'd have her license for the spring. The first day the temps never got above freezing, but test day was in the low 40s. She's tough. Now she wants to know what kind of bike she is getting.

Absolutely love my Denali D2s. I work nights, so most of my commute time is in the dark. The denalis are great. I can see farther down the road as well as to the side for deer. I feel people pull out in front of me less in the daytime.

Thank you for posting an image. I've had trouble finding decent pics featuring a Harley and smaller Denalis. Did you have to buy additional brackets to mount them? Where did you mount your switch?

EDIT: Now I see, you have the fork tube mounts: https://www.twistedthrottle.com/den...2mm-29mm-0-875in-1-125in-diameter-tubes-black

I used Denali fork brackets. Mine are hard wired to be on when the bike is on. I saw no reason to use their dimmer switch as I don't want them dimmer and didn't want to pay extra for it. My bike is wired for a park light in the bucket. When I replaced the headlight with an LED, the park light wire was unused. It was easy to wire them in as they only draw 1.6 amps so I didn't have to worry about the additional load. Mine are the D2s and are a little bigger than the DMs.

I don't have any more pics on the computer I'm using right now, but if you search my postings in the motorcycle topics you'll find a few at different angles.

I think this will get to another pic: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/post-pictures-of-your-motorcycle.114570/page-234#post-18513681

The nice thing about the course is they use the Harley street 500, which is quite a bit better than the classes using rebel 250s. Shes already been riding my scout and scout bobber, just not legally.

I'm looking for a 2017 Rebel 500 with ABS for her. I've found a few new ones, but no used ones yet.

I tried him too. I think his bike came with a passenger setup.
Wait, are those pegs for the sporty or the softail?

My only other planned bike mod is LED lights. I have to upgrade my helmet, too. Then on to my other hobbies:
Prepping Taco for camping season, new Mtn bike, and guns. Always guns.

Likewise. Except the MTN bike. My RockHopper 29er is perfect for me.
