Like a lot of other reviewers who want to be invited to the party they are not going to say anything bad about the Tacoma. The general consensus among all reviews is that the new Tacoma is ok, but missed the mark to make it better than GM's new trucks.

I've read the same arguments. It's hard to sell something that has less HP, TQ, MPG & towing capabilities than the next guy. I will just wait for the first recall on the GM twins and say I told you so.

I just tell people it's a Toyota. Most people understand.

Interesting how the same pre release (and some post release) conversations happened with the new redesign of the MX 5. Less HP but lighter, Seems the Tacoma got heavier. Difference being most of the MX 5 owners WANT and are paying MSRP the new ND.
    I won't pay MSRP for a Tacoma.

For me it will either be the new redesigned MX 5 or 16 Tacoma. So far I am little disappointed in the fuel economy. If we are going to get real world <20MPG, may as well give us the actual Lexus engine specs. I would not mind paying more for premium fuel with more performance.

I wonder the reason for not adding a freeway OD gear that allows for 28MPG freeway. Corvettes are able to do it with 430HP.

But it is a truck, and that being so, MPG really should not matter to those who drive trucks I guess and already have no issue with Fuel Economy.

At $1.90 a gallon here, I really don't care. At $4 a gallon fuel economy gets real with an $80 fill up. But our third car is a 12 Miata MX 5 an that is our runabout. The Tacoma stays garaged, except when I need a truck. The wife's CRV is loaded with her gear for work.

Another complaint I have is the body colored surround trim wrap on the dash. BLack truck would be ok but all the other colors seem to be gaudy looking.I will only buy white or silver.

Another thing is the lack of seat height adjustment....Wonder if the Limited has it with power seats?

And here are the recalls and complaints for the 2015 Tacoma.

    http://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/owners/SearchResults?prodType=V&searchType=PROD&targetCategory=A&searchCriteria.model=TACOMA&stats=1978544,3,0,11,0,TACOMA&makeStats=&jsonBaseURL=/downloads/folders/&searchCriteria.model_yr=2015&searchCriteria.make=TOYOTA&searchCriteria.prod_ids=1978544

Not much better than the Colorado - could say it's worst since the Colorado is all new while the 2015 Tacoma is a 10 year old truck. Don't get me wrong - I would not buy a GM ever.

Maybe I've got a dud, but I've had to take my 2010 Tacoma for more recall and warranty work than any other vehicle I've owned.....

How can 2 labels and after factory accessories equate to brake calibers, airbags and seat mounts?

Those labels are the only thing between life and death man! :D

Seriously the complaints are similar and if you go back in years on the Tacoma (2005 to 14) the recalls are more serious

Exactly what I was thinking reading those recalls. Tacoma were extremely minor. The 15 seems to be the best model.

Wow, it sounds like the perfect truck....or extremely bias reporting. Why no mention of the terrible legroom in the backseat of the Limited? And apparently it's not important that there are no connections back there for your passengers to charge their phones or anything else. After all it is 2015, not 2005, and everyone has a phone or tablet. All new? The cab, as far as dimensions goes, is unchanged from 2015. The things they updated are great, but they also fell short in some areas. I hope Toyota pays well for doing their advertising.

If the GM twins are so much better than they will be worth more after 5 years and 150K miles than a similarly equipped 5 year old Taco with 150K miles right?

This ^^^. Instead, they cost more up front and are worth less later.
