I posted this over in the Caps/Tonneau Forum, but maybe I'll get better luck here.

I have a LEER XL with Thule load bars.

I have a lead on a BAJA Rack Mega Mule (cheap) that I want to put directly on the cap in the rails, and move the Thule system to the cab for an RTT mounted there. That way I can access the cab of the truck through the annex of the RTT. I want the Mega Mule on the cap because I have an aversion to carrying gas cans in a rack over my head.

I have phoned and emailed Baja several times with no response.

I want to know if there are brackets that can attach the Baja Rack Mega Mule directly into the rails on the cap without using the Thule mounts and bars.

Any info or leads on a solution would be greatly appreciated.

I went to their website and they say "existing crossmembers", so it doesn't sound too good. Maybe you can get a custom mount built for it.

I did the same. Looks like a custom mount job is in the future.
