Thanks for your thread, after I saw this I made my own from a Harbor Freight winch plate and some scrap metal my buddy had laying around.

Yours looks good too, any pics of the mounting behind the bumper? It looks like the winch is sitting pretty low and far out.

I have to see if my buddy has any pictures, if not I'll take some tomorrow, they were on my laptop before it crashed. The winch plate is sitting flush with the bottom of the frame, so its probably 2inches higher and about 2-3 inches further in front than BRP27's since mine isn't mounted to a front tow hitch receiver.

So basically a front hitch and the front wench plate needs to be welded together? Do you have anymore pics of your version of the install?

Yes the two plates are welded onto the hitch then you bolt the winch plate to the two welded plates . I pretty much did it the same way as OP did . I used the same brand and model hitch. I don't have any pics right now but I do when it gets warmer take the front bumper off and do some more adjustments in about a month. So I can post more pics then so check back for uploaded pictures . I'll try to help if you are interested if you have any questions .

I don't know what you have planned for front recovery points, but FYI, those little rings aren't recovery points - at least the *shouldn't* be recovery points. Not sure what they're supposed to be used for, but those suckers will bend if you try to pull yourself or someone else out.
