I figured I would post here with what I am doing for my Motorola Droid/Ipod in my Taco. I am installing a mount and figured I would post how it does here for everyones pleasure. I just ordered the pieces, I will post pics of the install and the finished look by the end of the week.

For now I will just list what I got:

    The mount
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=350282474806&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

    The Droid/Ipod holder

    AUX audio hook up
    http://www.gromaudio.com/store/aux_...+_aux_adapter__direct_digital_interface_.html

    - And if needed I will install this to make for better viewing
    http://www.bracketron.com/index.php?catid=8&pid=9

So I should get everything within 3-5 business days and will start to put it in when at least the mount and AUX hook up come in since both require dash removal stuff.

Got the mount and universal holder pics attached... Still want to wait for the electric hook up so it can get all finished in one install, then again I am bored so may just do part of it today...

Both pieces are good quality. The holder is smaller than I thought it would be but that is a good thing, it is all plastic but from the reviews I have read it may feel low quality but it stands up well. The mount is very good quality and everything looks good. At this point I am thinking the swivel will help out with viewing and use, I just don't want to pay $10 to ship a small piece of plastic haha. More to come...

very simple install, remove AC cover, set mount, drill holes, screw in, replace AC cover... total time 10 min.

They say use a special tool, I use a knife worked fine...

Don't even need to show any other install photos, finished product...

Now when I install the AUX audio player I will just run the cord out the dash and it will be done. May even hard wire in a charger for my phone to get rid of wires from cig lighter

Anyone know the best way to hardwire a cell charger? The only ones I have found do not have enough power to charge...

opened my mailbox today had the grom audio link and a paycheck!!! Installed using this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cV8Z5pCZGjU tucked the unit in to the back right of the radio, since I only got the 3mm jack I ran that down and drilled a small hole at the top of the AC controls and had the wire come out. I'll get a finished picture up in a few min.

can you get a picture with the droid. I am curious to see if the charging port has clearance to plug in while 'docked'.

No because that is my camera (droid does), but it can charge, the "arm" things on the side slide all over the place making it so no buttons are blocked. Thats why I went with the bracketron, other mounts cover the 3mm jack or the charger port.
