thanks for the pics! 2 bolts per bracket hold every thing solid? I definitely like how they wrap all the way around the frame, i dont see a problem at all with having that type of bolt on slider. Now i just have to wait and save my pennies!

 

haha thats actually not a bad idea. ill just starve every day and start adding up how much money i WOULD spend on food and put it into a slider fund and then i coul....on second thought i think i like eating around the middle of the day. lets see for lunch i could a with either turkey and, or with peanut butter and. Or i could eat a from the night before cooked in the, or if im feeling healthy someand.

 

Mmmmmmm the wonderful world of ramen. Fuck I haven't had that shit since freshman year in college.

 

ramen 3 meals a day? dam id kill myself. I would at least step it up and go with the cup of noodles, at least you get a few scraps of freeze dried veggie look a-likes in there, and a handy way to transport it around!

 

I didn't want a slider that stuck way out either so I built my own..2x2 3/16 square with 1 3/4 round.

So im guessing through that hole between the 2 studs there is the b olt that will take out the cross member that the skid bolts up to??? my MetalMiller skid bolted back up to the same place the stock on did but for my bumpers new cross member to be welded/bolted up that flat piece with the studs across the crush cans had to come off and the new cross member was tight around the cans and welded up around the ends of the cans and connected to the frame...ill paint a pic sometime here in a few

Hopefully my pic makes since..but this is basically how my new bumper cross member is welded up...45acp will know exactly what is going on from looking at his...

 

Yes cut the stock on out but kept the one for mounting the skids and added a new 1/4" one that the bumper mounts to and down the road im going to probably tap some holes in the new cross member for the skid to bolt up to.

Truthfully, that's all I'd need for the type of wheeling I do.

Rear bumper is really nice but pricey. I wonder if they give military discounts.
