I bought these sure kill traps..
Sure kill my butt.. these traps caught three mice for me. but every time i picked the traps up, the little buggers were still alive. trapped, but alive.
I really didn't like my GF's cat till it caught a mouse one night. I was like, at least the cat is doing her part.

Well, they can be fun(ish) Caught 2 at once one time like that at a different house, got to look them in the eye, wave my finger at them in true uh-uh-uh style right before their heads met the concrete of the driveway killing them instantly. Then I left the whole thing out there for the stray cats violating the leash laws of our fair city to come along and leave with a sticky trap stuck upside their head. Why should the trap have all the fun? Trappers like fun too.:D

I never caught any mice on the sticky traps... only salamanders and toads... I like them, they can stay, but the mice gotta go!!! I'm like you guys... instant death so they can't get away.

Two years ago, I had some in my attic... picked up packs of the poison pellets and threw the stuff all over my attic.... haven't had a problem since (knock on wood)

It would be funny to see a stray cat with a sticky trap and two mice stuck to it's head wandering around.

Yeah, this is the time of year they like to move in for the winter. We had an old house and they could get in everywhere. Tried the peanut butter on the trap and about 10 other tricks. Only one thing has ever worked, it's called Just One Bite, It comes in small paper packets, throw a few in the attic or in the basement. It's safe around pets.most hardware stores have it.

I've heard of a similar set up where you put some bacon grease in a plastic lid and let it float in the water. same effect and hey! it's an excuse to make some bacon!!

my budy made a trap with a bucket where he made a plank halfway across it then hung a piece of food where the mouse would have to reach for it... then fall into the bucket. he caught two that way and put them in a cage... but they later escaped! FAIL

Some brilliant ideas here! I guess I'm not the only one to sit back and think how to catch those pesky little bastards.

I like the water bottle/bucket/PB trap. It also shows how dumb mice are - they walk up to the bucket and see 5 of their family members floating around below and still go for it.

Poison pellets are good but the mouse will still die and stink somewhere in the house. Maybe he eats the pellet, isn't feeling well and hides under your kitchen cabinets to die and rot. That is not a smell I want hanging around in my kitchen.

    Traps catch them for removal.

And the only way I would use a sticky trap is if it had a poison pellet in the middle of it. Mouse eats pellet, can't move, sits in one spot and dies from the inside. Sounds cruel but these f'ers are trespassing on MY property!

Poke a nail size hole through the drywall then feed a few pellets of rat poison through it; worked for me twice.

The poison pellets are designed to make them thirsty so they go to water to and drink before they die. So if you have no available water in the house they will go outside to find water.

I didn't know that... that would explain why I never had any dead animals in my attic.....
