You try looking at Woodcrest yet? There are plenty of small homes with lots of land. It used to be a small town nobody knew about until all the model homes and mansions started getting built.

Super nice people, perfect for kids. Great schools.

The only "bad" thing about Woodcrest is that there is limited shopping, we don't have a walmart or target, no lowes or home depot, no mall. You have to drive out for that stuff.

Woodcrest is great. Mother in law lives there and I absolutely love the area. Great schools there as well.

My wife and I were looking to sell and buy in woodcrest last month. We had buyers for our home, but looking for a home in woodcrest was out of control.

Soon as a house listed there was literally 5-10 blind offers way over asking. Pretty much a house is off the market in a day and going for 10-20k above asking.

Wow didn't know it was like that. Have you tried Orangecrest? It borders Woodcrest. It is where all the new houses are built. Still a great neighborhood, but you don't get that small town vibe like Woodcrest has.

Yea tried there too...same. Great area, but don’t really want to get in a bidding war. Sucks too I was able to get some really good offers for my current house. Might have to wait until this all cools down to move there.

Yeah, it’s been this way for a while, I nearly bought one of the newer homes in Mo Val in 2014 ish, the same issue, it was a short sale, I bid 10k over and out bid by a cash buyer. Lots of foreign money, but also people moving to Riverside area as they sell homes in LA and get bigger homes for similar money. Temecula area is t. Same but with SD people. Many Military guys also take the Off base housing money and live in Murrieta/Menifee Area and because of the COL difference live more comfortably.

    Hmm interesting.

There is an area in Perris called Boulder Springs, used to have a friend that lived there. Not sure how the schools are but it seems like a good area.

Temecula here, moved up from SD 12 years ago. Stay away from Hemet, that place is a shithole. As is Morena Valley. Winchester is nice, you can still get houses with decent land out there and avoid HOAs and all the special assessments that the new developments have. Wife is a teacher in Murrieta school district, so I can get her opinion on schools if you land on an area.

Had to a screening today and got to witness that 215 traffic going north... doesn't look fun.

And then talking with the people that work there everyone speaks highly of Beaumont that is now a option..

    House hunting is stressful

Menifee is a nice little place, still growing, and you will get more bang for your buck than in Murrieta or Temecula. I recommend trying to get a home with solar out here, I keep my house cold in this summer heat!

Have you thought about not living in Riverside County? From Redlands/Loma Linda, you can cut through San Timoteo Canyon and be at RUHS fairly quickly.

Stay on the South side of the 10 freeway and there’s a lot of nice areas. Nice downtown area for entertainment. Good schools also.
