I just thought, you didn't get far enough north. Much better in the "Future State of Jefferson".

:deadhorse: DEF not... I lived in HB california for 4 years and drivers were relatively the same (other then CA drivers like to be dick heads and tailgate) but if you drive near oregon drivers.... it gets scary sometimes...

Magnesium Chloride is a salt much like sodium chloride. It will oxidize metal too.

The biggest pro for mag chloride over sodium chloride is that it is much more water soluable. So the trick is to rinse off the undercarriage soon after driving on mag chloride treated roads. And you should be fine.

Plus the roads here dry out/off quicker and more readily than in the rust belt. The benefits of having warm sunny days in winter. So there isn't much product on the roads versus those states that have to use sodium chloride a lot.

What happened to wall we were going to build? Guess we will just have to continue to ride how incredibly hard the winters are for a few more years. Think I'm on 3rd week of short wearing now.

Anyways, save yourself some money and wait to get here before you buy $10K in Artic rated gear, etc. Might find out you don't need any of that here.:D

Haha! Reminds me of the movie Snow Dogs, when Cuba Gooding flys out to Alaska and gets off the plane wearing a down parka. Guess maybe I should return all the Patagonia fleece.

To be honest I had same perception, what do you mean 4x4 is not a must on all vehicles.

I had dura tracs on my van. They got really loud. Don't like them. So don't bother with the lecture. Haha
