Going to be moving to the Denver area at in less the two months. Finishing up my time in the Navy, and will be starting school in January. Very excited that my Tacoma will get to see real mountains. Virginia has not provided any thrills aside from horribly flooded streets, and a trip I took to the outer banks in NC to drive the beach. This forum has a bunch of great information about the area and it helping pass the time while at sea. I feel like a broken record starting another, "Moving to CO", thread but I felt obligated to introduce myself. Off topic from trucks but does anyone work in a hospital in the Denver metro area?

Thanks, and I guess it counts..

I am going to go to nursing school, but first this spring I am going to get my EMT license. The goal is to work as an ER Tech while finishing school.

Unfoutunetly, no... I wanted to be but I ended up an IT. It worked out in the end though, I probably made rank a lot faster then I would have as a HM. Now that I am getting out I can follow my real passion.

Anyone a hunter? I probably won't hunt all to much in 2018, but I will need to scout a bunch to learn the land. Hopefully I will finally get that elk that evaded me so long in Oregon as I was growing up!

That's what I have been reading. A lot of people are paying to join the clubs that have land leases.... I hope I can find some public land to hunt on.

If you know where to hunt and are willing to drive more than 30 minutes you can get away from the crowds, I've been hunting in Colorado for 26 years and never had an issue

Heck any place you have to hike to hunt/ fish has zero pressure pretty much.

yeah, my relatively obscure hunting area was overrun last season by a bunch of chainsaw wielding party boys who stayed up late blasting music

    Find friends with private land.

Invest in Archery as you'll have more time to hunt.
