Hopefully I meet someone while in college... It is going to be quite time consuming I assume so I am not sure how much time I will be able to dedicate to hunting.

I also recommend grouse (sage, blue, etc) and high altitude Ptarmigan (I have never seen one), usually above treeline.

My hunt next weekend is just north of Steamboat Springs, roughly a 4 hour drive for me, Cow, Buck, and Bear tags this time around

I have never done a Multi-species hunt before. Is it common for you? I hope you have a HUGE freezer if your hunt is successful. Good luck man, you'll have to post pictures when you return. How long is your hunt? Are you camping out of the Tacoma?

When I put in for the draw I always put in for multi species, very common here. Several freezers  just gotta fill them!

Due to work I’ll only be hunting 3 days as apposed to my usual 7, but it’s still better than nothing

I’ll be camping in my expo trailer, see link in signature below

@Martyinco what type of work are you into. CO has you put in for tags in the spring correct? I plan to put in for deer, elk, and maybe bear. I have never hunted for bear, but on the off chance I come across one I would love to have some sausages. Your trailer is awesome, you have great craftsman skills. I want to try that one day once I am finished with school and settle in my career. I think that my post Navy life may be a tad rocky for a bit.

These times depends on where you live, and when you leave...

Leave Aurora at a bad traffic time and it may take another 2 hours. :D

Colorado is known as North Texas... Too many of them here, they also don't drive well in snow.

I should also mention that dealing with the masses in Denver was one of the motivators for me selling all my shit and going on the road for now over 3 months.. so there's that... Enjoy. :burp:

I may come back but it will not be to the front range.
