Yeah. There's two little bracket things that hang down to guide the spare tire into place and they need about a half-inch of persuasion before they'll let a 33 tuck up nicely.

Those are lug-centric. Never liked hub-centric since there is a chance for the wheel not to be centered to the lugs and induce vibration. Lug-centric will center the wheel to the lugs and axle.
Lift is Icon RXT leaf full pack in the back and Icon 700# front.
Wheels are 18" with 275/65/18 shoes.

I have no idea what my mpg is. None whatsoever. I save the environment with my thermostat, minimal plastics, planting trees and bulk local foods etc.

But I drive a truck as it is intended to be driven an fill the tank as needed. Btw you need to measure tire circumstances at running pressure and vector load to recalibrate your odometer.

Try a TRDOR with 33's, 300 lbs of skid plates and sliders, and another 400 for a bed rack, RTT and spare fuel. I'm almost 1/2 ton over stock FML

275/65-18, 2.5" Lift, air dam removed, getting ~27mpg on back roads of Maine, ~21mpg highway at 70mph, and 14mpg city (mostly because I wind the hell out of her with ECT on to hear the exhaust, haha)

With highway driving it’s aerodynamics that kill MPG’s, I once drove 65mph on the nose for 1.5 hours and got 22mpg, then did it again at 73mph and 17mpg. Now I’m always debating if the 8mph for 5mpg’s is worth it! Load E 265/75/16

MPG- I’m saying it right but it just doesn’t sound familiar

I think you are mistaken. Far less issues to occur with hub centric wheels. See this link

Wheeling MPG will be atrocious so just an average of that tank MPG is why it's lower.

15/20 more or less, depending on hilliness and number of stoplights.

Like somebody said up thread, on these trucks your MPG takes a nosedive once you get above about 65mph.

I drive a totally stock truck like a granny and barely get 22 mpg. You driving downhill at 35 mpg all the time or something?

I honestly don't understand how that is possible. Not calling you a liar but those numbers are better than what Toyota advertises and they come up with their numbers in perfectly ideal environments.

I took the air dam off mine and haven't seen any drop in MPG on the freeway. Last average was 25.5MPG on a long freeway trip at 65mph.

I’m on a 3” lift and 31”Tires and get 14 mpg if I’m lucky. How the heck are you getting 22mpg?

I just drive. Flat road on I-60.
I use AMSoil 5W-30 and installed oil catch can. Nothing else special.
I guess I know why. My display is for TRIP FUEL MPG but most people use Tank average. For each trip I get the MPG. My tank average is 18-19 MPG since bad traffic on the way back from work.

When I drive home in a few hours, I'll take a photo of it and post it. Not quite sure why it gets so good fuel mileage, as my 2018 4Runner Pro, I can't get better than 19 in it, and it's stock. :(
