Yea I am back in the semi-frozen tundra of Wisconsin finishing up school. Who knows, I might move back to the south west after I am done.

Its funny you mention the soft topper because it is off for no due to the cold weather. I am actually putting in an order for an ARE hard top again, lol. This one will have all of the options that I need though. Windoors, reinforced roof, front runner rack.

How is that POR15 treatment working out for your truck, you have anything bad to say about it and has it been worth it?

I thought I remember seeing that you ordered the whole kit from Amazon and applied it to your sliders and rear bumper a little while back. Been thinking about it hard recently given all these rock chips on my sliders and bumper from the wide ass 35s.

Its hard to tell at this point because the truck is so dirty from the recent snow storm this past few days. It does looks like it has held up well. Once it warms up, I am going to wash the underside of the truck to see how it did for the winter. If it did well enough, I plan on doing the front and rear bumper along with some spots on the frame that I know I missed.

Thanks for the info. Good to know that the stuff hardens soon after opening.

Looking at the $190 kit on Amazon it comes with a gallon of each the cleaner, prep, and paint, I wonder if you can buy smaller size cans since it would be hard to do everything in a day.

DO NOT, I say again, DO NOT buy a gallon of the paint. You can pretty count on that can being a waste as soon as you open it up. The stuff dries rock hard so opening the can back up a day later becomes difficult. The paint itself starts to harden, even with the can open after an hour or two opening. So needless to say, I tried re-opening a can a couple days later and the stuff was solidified. The prep and cleaner are good to buy in large bottles, but I would stick to the smaller cans of paint.

For the next time I do this, I am thinking trying the spray on top-coat for the bumpers. Reason being is that using a brush leaves brush marks, which which I dont mind on the frame itself, but I want a smooth finish for the bumpers.

I just saw this today. Was going to use it on my sliders from the winter thrashing.

If you do intend on buying the gallon, make sure you have plenty of help spreading that stuff around. There is a limited amount of time before that stuff cures.
