For fun, take away the use of one arm and then repeat the excercise and you have my situation. Trying to figure out how to incorporate a ratcheting HMMWV spare carrier into the mix so that I don't get strangled by my wife when I tell her that she has to powerlift the spare when things go wrong.

 

I hope you used your pre-work out before that and then protein shacked it up afterwards.

Dean, what hardware did you use to mount the yaesu speaker? Screws or bolts? Did you pull the b post or just put screws in? I want to mount my external speakers, and would like to use something that is solid. Thanks

They are mounted with the included mounting hardware that came with the speakers into the plastic of the b-pillars. I put a large 1 inch washer on the back side and they are very sturdy. I will throw up a picture tomorrow.

Here are the pictures of the external speakers. I have one in each pillar. Drivers side is VHF and passenger side is CB.








Here, you can see the distance from the edge of the speaker to the side of the headrest.

 

Thanks man, I appreciate it very much! My speakers (cb and ft-8900) are just on the floor next to my seat. After I saw your setup, I think thats where they are going. I think I will be able to hear them better mounted up by my ears too!

 

I plan on eventually them back an inch just to get some more clearance away from my head. The longest part is just taking the interior pieces out to get to the backside of the pillar.

 

Mounted up a pair of Adventure Trailers aluminum can holders today. I had some Demello holders on there years ago but ditched gem in favor of another setup. Now I am back to dual can holders in order to support an upcoming adventure.

Also hows the new bed liner holding up? Im looking at trying to DIY my sliders but would like to match the color... lol

 

We are going to run the T.W.A.T. Or Trans Wisconsin Adventure Trail, lol. 600 miles from southwest Wisconsin to Lake Superior. Fairly easy trail that should take 3-4 days in August.

 

What happened to the shell dude?!?! Tacomas look weird without shells to me.

 

Going on tomorrow. I ordered a new shell WITH windoors this time.

Cant wait to see some pictures, I've been wanting to run the trail. Every now and then ill work in La Crosse WI, and figured that would be a nice trail for the weekend

After a six week wait, my Snugtop finally came in. I ordered it with windoors this time and the wait was well worth it. I also put a Frontrunner roof rack over the shell to go along with the one over the cab.
