hi i am purchasing a set of wheelers 16" alloy wheels for my 2006 toyota tacoma trd sport i read that you said you need to grind some of the calliper, would you please be able to explain how much and where you had to grind the calliper? also i plan on running the same tires you have 285-75-16 with a 3" pro comp lift. i dont do alot of off roading, do you think i will have clearance issues?

    thanks alot for your time

I grinded about a 1/16th of an inch from the top of the caliper. I put the wheel on and saw where it rubbed on the caliper. I pulled the wheel off and grinded just a little at a time. I put the wheel back on to check clearance and took it off to grind a little more.

You will rub on the plastic and the cab at full lock/compression. Nothing some plastic trimming and some grinding cant take care of.

If you are worried about grinding the caliper, try a different wheel or go to a 17" wheel.

Gonna have to wait until I get to California. I did take it into about 3ft of water last year and it just chugged along no problem.

I just spent an hour under the truck getting all of the mud that was hiding in the corners. The truck has to be completely free of mud before it ships out.

Those headlight guards finish off the AP bumper nicely. Good job man! :)

AP cant really do them due to their bumpers being bolt together. If they were solid like mine and the others out there, then they could do it easily.

Agreed, understandably AP can't weld them together like this because of the sectionalized bumper. I think you finished it off nicely . Clean Truck, one of my favorite builds.

Did you order your front and rear bumpers while on island? I was considering getting beefed up bumpers but wasn't so sure since shipping might be high... I just love the look those bumpers give, and I wouldn't worry about backing or driving into anything haha

sweet truck man, always a favorite! It's right up there with toku's for best looking island tacos.

I did order them while I was on island. The shipping was alot but well worth it. I would have scraped a few times without the rear high clearance bumper this last time I was up at Peacock Flats. And the front bumper would have been toast if it was stock.
