It doesn't. My ATO tray didn't work with hid lights had to remove them.

Oh and you should always wire the winch to the primary battery and disconnect the two batteries when winching so in case the engine stalls out you can self jump with a full secondary battery not to mention having all the excess current flowing through the battery isolator.

After reading around a bit more I moved the winch to the main battery.

Thanks! Were you happy with the lift and the 265/75/16's for a while? debating on whether to make the jump straight to 285's or 265's. And from all my research it seems like 16's are the way to go. Right now I have FJ 17's but I think it'll bee too much rim vs tire.

What do you think? I'm gonna black out either rim. Just wanted another White onwer's opinion. Thanks for your input! not sure why the last image is showing upside down...?

you dont have to turn off the isolator. But most kit dual setups i would as they are only 200 amp solenoids. But you still can.

Why i opted to build my own with a 500 amp relay and 0/1 gauge wire.

They were good while they lasted. I think they might have been a little better than the KM2's but I didn't push the KM's as hard as the KM2's. I think the blacked out stock wheels look kind of tacky. Go with some aftermarket black wheels and it would look a lot better.

Went to the range to sight in the guns today. My youngest one, the blonde one turned 4 so I decided to let him shoot the 22's. He had a blast.

true, mine is also 500 amp rated as I know most winches pull upwards of 4-500 amps at full til. Most of the painless or national luna setups are only good to 200 amps though which could cause damage and arcing of the solenoid contacts if that current rating is exceeded. I just have a habit of turning my isolator off when winching, then after a few minutes I'll flip it back on to let the primary battery come to a decent charge first.

National Luna rates their isolator at a peak of 400 amps.

    400 peak

    200 continuous.

Mine is 500 continuous and 700 peak.

The NatLuna one will burn up if help at 400 amp for periods of length. How long? no idea. Not long id think though.

I guess miltuple snatch blocks would be the key if the pulls are heavy and short. A long pull though might be sketchy.

I just run a battery attached to my winch. Keeps things simple. Long hard pulls ain't nothin for me.
His winch line, my winch line & winch extension(only me pulling). We took out sections as needed. Pulling through 2-3 feet of snow. That's a long pull! Duals + isolator would be nice for running accessories and not worrying though.
