Yea I've been taking some pics. For now all ive done is 5100's on the front. Arb is on its way and stuff so I'll start a little build thread soon. I think it would be fun just to see the trucks progress in the next couple years. Hahaha I just graduated hs this past spring. So ive still got a while.

Ya 4wd it is. I ordered my ARB off Amazon. Can't beat $850 with free shipping. Finally pulled the trigger.

I think there are a decent amount of hs/college kids on TW....

I haven't seen as many HS folk as college, but I didn't even join TW until halfway through my freshman year of college.

I dig the bumpers because they're not overly heavy, they offer great protection and theyre prefect for adventuring and stuff. Super rad. Good investment dude.

    +1
I also thought they were a little overkill for a 2WD and what id realistically do with my truck, but theyre sweet

I'm more worried about deer than anything. I swear i almost hit deer all the time. Them and wild turkeys. Those things are deceivingly huge and would cause some serious damage. Plus they're dumb as hell, just stand in the middle of the damn road and wait for you to plow right over them.

We dont have to really worry about those down here in socal. Its more of people walking in the road with their face plastered to their phone and they expect traffic to stop

I hit a deer before I got my front bumper, slammed the brakes and slid sideways into a ditch. I was fine and so was the truck, deer ended up going under the bed and came out the other side according to the guy behind me.

Update: First half of 4WD conversion beginning to take shape! Got almost all of the front end parts, just need one more axle and new ball joints.

Front end part install pretty much complete. Unexpected delays with driver side ball joint removal, lower bolts for steering linkage on spindle were in really tight, almost seized and broke 3 of my 14mm sockets, took a pneumatic air ratchet to get them out, upper ball joint stud wouldn't budge from UCA, had to get a big ass blowtorch and heat it up nice and hot, and still had to use an air powered hammer to get it out. One side of the truck took a whole day to do, the passenger side only took about and hour.

5100's in! The rear ones were so old I could
Fully compress them using just my arms with little effort
