I guess i'm just used to the way it acts after driving it this way for 114k miles. I will probably install my own setup whenever the time comes to replace the clutch.

Fair enough, i could never get used to rev match downshifting though, that clunk drove me nuts.

Nope. It feels the same as new even after smoking it a time or two.

The plug and play kit from the OP is now "SOLD OUT FOREVER". Bummer

Is there another plug and play option?

Buy the $8 in parts from autozone. That’s what I did and haven’t had any leaks

just remove the accumulator and use it as a template. You can send me the $60 I saved you lol

I deleted my accumulator today finally. I think I have air in the line. Not entirely sure.

When I press the clutch down and release (in gear or not) just after the friction point it sticks for a moment the pops the rest of the way out. Is that air in the line?

Ran out of time today. It's 10 pm and I just put everything away. I will try and do a better job bleeding tomorrow.

Even with that happening, I can already tell I love it. It's so much better, and it's not even right yet.

Thank you so much for making this tread!

Shout out to @TacoTim85 for hooking me up with the honda brake line he decided not to use, and to @sherwoods_Fleet for the pdf guide. Also to everyone else who posted pics and advice. I read every page of this thread (all 77 lol) as I was not confident I would do it correctly.

It's understandable. I failed at a couple clutch bleeds in the past.

You are welcome though. The clutch control is so much better. I enjoy it every day.

Be sure to post up if another bleed cures it.

For sure. I cannot imagine it won't. I did a gravity bleed. I think I screwed up when I loosened the bottom bolt of the flex line a bit, after bleeding, to turn the flex line so it would fit correctly under the heat shield. Started leaking then, a lot. Shouldn't have done that with the clamp removed from the top, but I did. Got it tightened back up and made it fit under the heat shield. I did not rebleed after, and I think that might be where I made my mistake.

Air could have gotten in then. Some more gravity or a helper will fix you up.

Yup that’s air in the line. Same thing mine did. More bleeding and you’ll be set.

    Cool stuff
I realized I had a small small leak at the slave, I would run my finger over the line right at the fitting and would have fluid residue.... did a half turn more on the bolt and all is perfect as it should be. You really gotta tighten that fitting down. Can air be let in with a small leak like that?

    Good work.

Just a general note to use a line wrench if putting a lot of torque on brake and clutch flare fittings.

It is hard to tell, but a leak as slow as that might have had enough head pressure from the reservoir to keep the air out. If you feel the clutch behaviour change day to day, then some air might be in there?

    Yeah crank that mofo down

I made sure to push the line into the slave while I tightened it down so it sealed right and was in squarely.

Bled the clutch today. I think the reason I got air in it was the tube I was using was not fitting snugly on the bleed nipple. Got some smaller tubing that fit correctly followed @shellshock bleeding directions. Thanks for those @Shellshock.

I got a lot of air out. Afterwards the clutch not acts normally.

I haven't driven it that much yet, but I LOVE it! :D:D:D:D

This is how the truck should have come from the factory. WTF toyota? o_O

If you are on the fence about this mod, and at all unhappy with your clutch, DO IT!

You should have a copper washer on both side of that banjo fitting.
