I did a real quick search and didn't find anything so out of curiosity who all here has a mud boat/mud motor?

    Heres my ongoing project.

I've had a hankering to build a longtail for a while.

Not that it would be any better for my boating needs.

However, would make going through the dam milfoil a lot easier.

Mud boats are a breed apart.
    Always interesting.

When I ordered it from SeeLite they sent me all the hardware to mount it with (bracket, SS screws, rubber vibration dampener for the feet) The power cable's are on the male end of a 12v accessory plug with the female end on the deck so that the light was removable if need be. It was a very simple and quick install with an endless amount of benefits.

SeeLite makes a good tough light! They have a few other things on their website as well.

    Sure does.

I just landed a 15hp Honda Clone and the Swamprunner kit is in transit (let the Thai bashing begin). I'll throw it on a 14ft fiberglass V-hull for now with high hopes of buying a 1648 jon before duck season arrives.

Those Honda clones are hard to beat, that's what is on my canoe.. Just got it all put together and ready for first run about a week ago.. Mines the mudskipper kit though.

Guess I haven't been in here for a while.
Ended up finding a deal on a 1436 that I couldn't pass up. Threw the 15hp swamprunner on it and away we went.

    Couple pictures.

This is just about the exact setup I was thinking of building.
Which kit did u use? The clamps I've seen and not all use that type.
Must be about 20mph empty ?

Yes, runs about 20 with 2 people. Works better with two than when I'm alone. Carries the bow too high with nothing up front. I'm sure it's something I could work out with some tuning, but I'm not often alone anyway.
It's the medium kit from swamprunner. I also assembled a small kit with a 6.5hp for a hunting buddy. It works nice too.
