Hey TW fam, so for some reason on the passenger side mudflap, the bolt that hangs vertical keeps getting loose and falling off. I noticed the first time my mudflap was crooked. So I had to remove another bolt from the backside mudflap and use that. Fell off again... I've tightened it as much as I can. Any suggestions?

Put a little black rtv silicon on the screw threads prior to screwing it in.

I am pretty sure they will SELL you the bolts...maybe if you have a good relationship with your dealers service department, they may give them to you.

Yikes! $15 for 25 bolts.....I guess that is still cheaper then paying $3 each at the dealer.

Its a two way street, most dealerships think people suck. Think about that the next time you go into one to see of they will "spare" you something

The bolts that hold the front air dam to your bumper may be the same iirc. If you took it off or plan to, maybe you can reuse those.

When I needed to get extra bolts to put my mud guards on, I just bought the license plate screws at oreillys. Pretty much same length and similar thread.

Yes, do this! We bodyman have tons of this kinda stuff laying around.
The problem isn't the bolts. They are steel, but they screw into a plastic nut anchor clip and THAT is what wears out. They are usually cheaper than the bolts ( if purchased)

Lowes sells those same bolts for a lot less then $15. They sell a number of different auto fasteners.

Go to your local Lowes and look down the isle that has all the screws, etc. There you'll see the bins with the sliding drawers, look for the drawers labeled "auto fasteners".

My 2019 SR does not even have those plastic nut anchor clips on the underside. I put WeatherTech mudguards on my truck but don't have anything for the bolts to screw into. The hole is there. I still have the bolts in a jar on the shelf.

Yeah it really didn't bother me till I started reading this thread. LOL! I may stop in at O'Rielly's or the local body shop that I know a guy from back in the day.

Pretty darn cheap on this web site.
