Thinking about purchasing an aftermarket muffler for my 2001 Tacoma V6. I've mostly heard of FlowMaster Borla and MagnaFlow. What's your preferred brand?

I just use the Walker factory replacement .

    Easy to install

I used to do the fancy exhaust bling in the past I out grew it trying to mix and match exhaust parts.

I guess it all depends just what end results your looking for.

I did the deckplate mod and Flowmaster 40 on my '04. Nice sound from a 4 banger.

If you expect an exhaust setup to last longer than 4-6 years, don't get steal. Get stainless.

I had a Flowmaster Dual Thunder series with 50 muffler (steal) for about 4 years - when it started getting rust holes at weld points nearest the muffler. I went back to OEM.

My garage guy said the aftermarket steal exhausts only last 4-6 years. I believe him!!

Wow this steal seems to last longer then the two winters I get with a steel exhaust system.
