Sounds good I'll keep you posted. There's places online that sells this for about $130 shipped. I decided to go through the dealer for $170 just in case it doesn't fit I can just return it to them vs mailing back an item.

Such a waste of material. Don't understand why Toyota can't provide just the filler plate with the slots, instead of the whole tray. Do you know if that plate is removable or it's part of the larger piece?

The part is all in one piece. You can try to modify it and take out that plate only but it's sold all in one so might as well make it easy on yourself and just install the whole thing. By the way, it's now cheaper online.

That looks great. I wish they would have used that panel on every truck. What was the cost of that piece from Toyota?

Where did you get the switches?

 

I bought them on eBay from Off-road Arsenal but the buttons seems cheap and I'm not sure they will last long at all. I'm going to switch them out. My buddy has buttons from Air On Board and they feel way sturdier but they don't have the same faceplates so gonna buy the housing from them and put these front faceplates on it.

This will work great if you are looking to add just a few switches. It's also affordable!

 

How hard was it to get the old one off and the new one on? How did you go about it. Are there just clips or screws? Thanks! Looks great its more than likely my next purchase although I seem to have gotten side tracked on my sound system recently as well as potentially upgrading my suspension

 

It wasn't too bad after we figured out where the bolts and clips were which were pretty much on every piece we had to remove. I had a buddy help me out and we were on a time constraint so I didn't take pics. I will be redoing the buttons again in a few weeks when I get the replacement for sturdier ones so I'll take pics then. I would definitely recommend going this route for the oem look.

 

How many other dash pieces did you have to remove to get this off? In what order? I want to remove my switch panel, but I'm not sure where to start. Thanks.

A user of this site created a switch panel that fits that cubbie on the left. I need to find the thread but here is the product that fits. There is a photo of the installation and he has created a 2 and 3 button version as well as a blank.

 

Yep. He makes a 2-switch and a 3-switch version. I bought both because I'm not sure how many switches I want to mount in that spot. Both pieces are nicely done.
