This would be the Magnaflow Rumbler, https://www.amazon.com/Magnaflow-R24422-Rumble-Exhaust-Muffler/dp/B01N7JUOX5

Yeah some 4 bangers can get really loud. I didnt want to be really loud and wanted something more mellow. To be honest sometimes it can be too loud. Maybe Im getting old.

This actually doesn't look as bad as I thought it would. Didn't realize how little wiring is needed to make that engine run. I'm also in CA and the smog laws here suuuuuck but I haven't had to smog mine in 4ish years now. It badly needs an LS lol

Youre right, very little wiring is needed for the engine and trans to run. 2 relays and 4 fuses run everything. You are totally right about smog laws in CA. Why havent you had to smog in 4 years? Its every 2 for me.

Stupid question how much wiring would one need if you installed an LS manual trans?
As for the cooling on the 2nd gen. CFS makes a double roll drop in radiator, I’m wondering if that would be enough to cool an 5.3 or 5.7 w/ AC?
    :notsure:

If you ran a manual trans, less wiring would be required. You would just need to configure the PCM for a manual trans.

I am running the stock single row radiator from a 03 Silverado with no issues. I’m sure double would cool even better. My temps stay in between 190 and 205. My fan kicks on at 199.

Do you have any info on the radiator mount or did it line up with the core support?

The core support was about an inch off. I just massaged it with a hammer and it fit.

    OP,
Not trying to change the subject, going back to your DIY coilover’s (SMART!) Do you think if you had front axles that they would clear the shock body Ie. Say someone wants to build their own DIY coilover’s and they have a 4x4 do you think the axles would clear? I know that all factory or factory style front shocks have a narrow bottom. Now back to our regular schedule program…

4x4 wouldn't be a problem. The coil over is the about same diameter as the Bilstein 5100's I had before.

So what made you go with a LS over a Toyota engine like a 4.6/4.7 or a 5.7 or even something like a 2J?
