My mx req. light started flashing the other day. It will flash exactly 6 times after I start the truck and then go out and not come back on till I start it again.
I currently have 4500 miles on it and did a oil change at 2000 with syn.
Anyone have an idea what is causing this?

Your 5k mile service is due soon. Eventually it will just stay on until you reset it and/or do your service.

I was thinking that's what it was. Is this something I can reset or will the dealer need to do it. I don't need oil or filter and I won't let them touch my rims/tires, so what else is left to do at 5k. Can the local Auto Zone reset the light..thx

Turn off your truck. Hold odometer button while turning key to on. 00000 will show on dash then countdown. Once it's done it'll show your current mileage.
