This happened a day after my post above (on November 26, 2016 while visiting family in the bay area for Thanksgiving). Going to keep it short, wife and I are okay, truck is done. I was able to cancel/return all the parts I had recently ordered for this truck (thanks to @Baja Designs @CBI Offroad Fab for understanding).

I'll be swapping any parts I can from this truck back to my previous white extra cab (pops is giving it back to me and plans to buy a full size, link to previous truck: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/my-02-taco.287417/).

Once I'm done swapping parts, the truck will be up for sale as-is. The next owner can decide whether to repair it or part it out.

I've already installed the limited front seats into my extra cab so the double cab will come with standard sr5 bucket seats and will be practically all oem with the damaged Shrockworks bumper left on it. I'll post a for sale ad with more details once I'm ready.

Damn dude! That sucks! That was a beautiful truck :(

How did the bumper get damaged? Is it no longer usable or can it be repaired? If it can be reused/repaired I could be interested in it if you aren't going to do anything with it

Pretty unfortunate to hear about this. Wish I could have lend you a hand while you were in the Bay Area.

    Thanks man.

Spun out in the rain, hit a retaining wall, spun and hit the wall again with the rear end. It looks like the bumper is structurally sound but I don't plan on pulling it off. Just going to sell it with the truck. I barely have time as it is to swap the parts, let alone parting the truck out. The next owner can decide on what to do with it.

@cbechtold no worries man. Was able to get the best out of this horrible situation. Truck is at my parents house now and I'll be driving up this coming weekend to swap more parts onto my extra cab.

Works out well for you to have your old truck set up for you already. I had been following your build since you first got this D-cab. You had done some great work on this thing! I'm sure the other one will come out just as awesome. I'll be looking for the new build thread. Good luck with everything.

Thank you. If I have trouble selling the truck as a whole and end up having to remove the bumper, you'll be the first to know. Appreciate the kind words!
