So to make a long story short, I rolled my 3rd gen Tacoma about a month and a half ago at approximately 2 miles per hour. There was a section of road that had collapsed at the end of an unmarked dead end on a city road. Ended up getting a Semi-truck heavy wrecker to come lift me out. The vehicle was on its side for almost two hours before being flipped back over. Miraculously it started without a hitch and I drove it all the way home. (No check engine light or anything).

I decided since the bodyshop that was doing the repair gave me the option that I would do a few upgrades. (Pics coming soon). This has actually led me to want to post a few tutorials (including the squeaky suspension fix that I found to work best). But that will come at a later time.

Here are the before pics and the accident pics:

Your pictures are repeated and I can't see any of the previous damage.

    So, the roll over....

Happened late at night at the end of an unmarked dead end. Pics to justify how deceiving it was. I went to make the U-turn and thought I was swinging about a foot wide over some 6 inch tall grass but indeed that was not the case. The front passenger wheel went Clunk and it slowly toppled over into the brush.

Here are the daytime and aftermath pictures... About $10K worth of insurance later and $500 for a Semi-Wrecker Tow Truck

So for the repair, the TRD Pro and Sport hood was the same price as mine, so I opted for the fake hood scoop since We all know it adds 20% horsepower and torque after installing. I also had some insurance money to blow on some new decals (that I had to spend else lose) so I went with some sexy TRD Pro door badges (Shipped straight from a Toyota Dealership off Ebay ($80 shipped for the set). The bumper I didn't bother replacing and instead had the body shop cut the damaged section off (which happened to be the perfect area) and repaint so I could install an armored bumper (Demello Off-Road).

I paired these with some Rigid D2 series driving lights (Thanks to our local Polaris Dealership for the Hookup!) and a light bar.

I also replaced the cubby left of the steering wheel with a nice drop in switch plate (3D printed) Thanks to a member that I found on TW but cant remember who! (Can anyone help me credit him or her?)

Still finishing the wiring to make it pretty. Also need to buy another switch or blank to c over the extra hole, but it is looking good!

Next project is to reinstall the front TRD skid plate and the (red) shackles!

More pics to come! I also plan to post a thread with an anti squeak topic.

Hope this thread isn't too boring or drawn out, but figured I would share my Tacoma-ing stories with everyone!

Lol, No but I did manage to get laid by the girl that was in the truck when we rolled. (That definitely wouldn't have succeeded otherwise).

hot damn. first off, glad you/anyone didn't get hurt.

secondly, sounds like your insurance covered everything (and some) and now you got an even better truck?!?!?

thirdly, I'm now considering tipping my truck over now too.

I will try and post the full estimate for anyone who is curious. A lot of the parts were ridiculous in terms of what insurance quoted them at. (The black TRD 4x4 decals had to be replaced on both sides and they quoted $175 for both. Went and found exact same ones on Ebay, which was the only place I could even find them, and paid $24 for both shipped.)

I believe the Pro/Sport hood was around $500 (you can check with Toyota parts) and the scoop with paint, misc parts, etc added about $200 to the OEM hood for this model. I don't think the $500 included paint and labor on the hood by the way.

Ohh, Forgot to mention.... The insurance found it to be a no fault accident. They even reimbursed me for the tow truck fully and 30 days of rental coverage in a Chevy Pimpala.

Paid a $500 deductible which the body shop wrote me a check for about $1300 for parts they didnt order since I ordered a diff bumper, stickers, etc. (Of course the deductible came out of that too).

It almost sounds like tipping a Tacoma over would be the most cost effective mod you can get!

Did you ever get your Squeaky suspension fixed? If not, I know a way to fix it, although it isn't the quickest fix
