It's not blowing cold air, just coolish air and when the compressor kicks on and off it feels like a rough idle.

Anyone else having problems with their air conditioning?

Mine does that if I'm in park with the engine idling. Doesn't seem to do it when I'm driving

Thanks. Yeah mine does it non-stop while I'm driving. I'll have to take her in to the dealer for a look see. It's really annoying.

Mm. Possibly normal. Depending on outside temp.
This system is designed to cycle the compressor. That's how it works.

It's really annoying and the engine feels like it is really lugged down.

Sure. There are a couple engine controls available to stop the lugging. But I'd agree that they're pretty unrefined.
At low speed or a creep, mine surges too and it correlates to the compressor cycling.

It is 100F here. No A/C would mean driving directly to the service department.

Until you know you have the correct fill of Coolant ( 134A ) in the system everybody is just throwing guesses.

Sure it is supposed to cycle in response to pressures and the temperature at the evaporator coil. Frequent cycling and loss of cooling indicate another issue.

Yesterday getting on the freeway and accelerating up to speed with the heater on the truck hesitated for a good two seconds with no power. Either a giant miss or some other problem. The wife said, "what the hell was that?!"

About five minutes later on the freeway the engine had a giant miss.

Turned off the heater and no more problems.

Maybe that explains my truck's shitty performance since we have to run A/C 8 months out of the year in AZ

I don't know. This last summer it missed quite a lot with the A/C on. They just tell me at the dealer they can't replicate it.

    It's annoying as fuck.

Wife gave me the green light to dump it in October.

My wife is now knocked up. Red light on any vehicle purchases. Green light on nursery renovations and BuyBuyBaby expenditures.

I guess it could have been bad gas. I doubt it though.
