I've bolted on a lot of accessories. I have a hood graphic on order, and still undecided about the "TACOMA" door emblems. I don't think I'll do a lift, but anxious to move to some 275/70R17 BFG ATs. Possibly running boards of some sort. Eventually would like add some lighting and maybe a front camera. Maybe adding the blacked out mirror lights. I really like the sport wheels and just a touch of chrome on the truck seems to work with the wheels.

    Anyway, here she is pre-delivery:

    IMG_1217.jpg

    IMG_1203.jpg

I've been playing with the screen off feature, although my teenage son is not impressed. Also LOVE the Hondo radio knobs.

    IMG_1406.jpg

No floor mats were included, so I bought the Toyota all weather mats and added the sil protectors.

    IMG_1415.jpg

Is is worth it, probably not, do I like it, YES. I added the TRD shifter. It's nice, maybe not the best use of funds.

    IMG_1408.jpg

On the more practical side, my wife gave me a bed mat for my birthday.

    IMG_1411.jpg

I also added the front bed rail and a couple cleats. I'll likely add a bike mount in the future as well.

    IMG_1410.jpg

The traditionalist in me says Toyotas should have mud flaps. I think it looks better without, but I like the protection for the lower painted surfaces.

    IMG_1413.jpg

Again, being practical the roof rack makes a lot of sense. We have a similar rack on our Subaru Outback, and to be able to store it without the wind noice is a big plus. I already have a Thule cargo box, Yakima basket, with an assortment of bike & kayak racks, so it'll get good use.

    IMG_1414.jpg

No reason for the exhaust tip other then I thought it looked $58 better then the naked stock tip.

    IMG_1296.jpg

Since my Outback uses a 4" rise hitch bar, a 2" drop bar was needed. Found these super cool Made in the USA Aluminum bars and added a Curt stainless ball. Great reviews and will be prefect towing the 3-rail dirt bike trailer.

    IMG_1348.jpg

Finally I like the PRO grill, but don't mind the gunmetal cheese grater. Swapping out the chrome bezel for the SR black bezel worked more me. Still looks stock, but better.

    IMG_1295.jpg

Next was the raised TACOMA letters and debadge the tailgate.

    _WEB3109.jpg

I have a couple items like the hitch plug coming, but that's it to date. Time to let the CC cool off and think what's next. Maybe some real mods. Here she is today:

Very nice truck!!! I love your upgrades, I just purchased a TRD Off Road DCSB in Barcelona Red. A couple of questions, do you know the P/N for the SR black bezel? Also, is the exhaust tip black or chrome? Where di dyou get these from? Thanks for your help.

Thank you! I think it would be better to install the black OEM one that plastidip the chrome one. Also, is the front bed rail an accessory you bought or is it a mod you made, how was installation?

Are you planning on installing side steps? I installed the Tyger Riser ones and they look really good. Awesome quality and fit and priced very reasonably, I think they look and function much better that the Oval OEM ones as the sit a little lower and outward. It also protects from people opening the doors and slamming them against our Taco. I'll post a picture soon so you can see.

One more came today. It's the Gator-Jaw soft shackle. Seems like a good addition for the Sport.

The bed rail is a OEM part, bolts directly into the 5 bolts that hold the black bar across the front of the bed.

    Thanks, those steps look good!

I was looking and the black grille surround like you have but wondering what the difference is. That one says without trd pro. What’s the difference between that one and one that’s with trd pro. I can’t seem to find difference.

IDK, the TRD Pro has a totally different grill. The other models use a bezel, that is chrome on the TRD's and black on the SR, I like the black better.

Yeah it does I uploaded what I was talking about. Is it as shinny as the grille or is it matte? Wondering cause I want a close match

I've been bolting on more then posting, here are some more mods:

"4WD" Mudflap emblems (hopefully they will last, just vinyl on the plastic)

    IMG_1432.jpg

Then some MESO Customs turn signals:

    IMG_1563.jpg

Next some interior graphics (door sils (brushed silver), glove box (grey), and shifter):

    IMG_1560.jpg

    IMG_1561.jpg

    IMG_1562.jpg

I emailed AMP Research and they confirm the Tacoma Bed Step will fit the 16+ trucks, but their version hugs the bumper closer for a tighter look. It may or may not be worth the $50 over the Toyota OEM version (made by AMP), but I think it looks better about a 1" closer to the bumper.

    IMG_1671.jpg

    IMG_1672.jpg

    Tufskinz liners:

    IMG_1841.jpg

TRD Oil cap, just because (Toyota Black Friday Sale):

    IMG_1934.jpg

Thanks to a great price from my local dealer I did the air dam delete and installed the TRD Skid Plate:

    IMG_1893.jpg

And to get you caught up the Toyota Predator Steps (also from Toyota's Black Friday Sale):

    IMG_1947.jpg

More to come. Planning on adding the Truxedo Pro X15 tonneau cover and Pop 'n Lock after Christmas. Tires likely sometime next year.

    Thanks for looking...

    I missed a couple more:

I added grey overlays on the Tacoma nameplate just to knock the chrome down a bit and the Tacoma Mountains silhouette:

    IMG_1621.jpg

    IMG_1620.jpg

and before winter I applied MacCoat to the undercarriage to try and hold off the damage from a Midwestern winter:

    After:

truck looks good man, my truck is starting to pick up a theme...the typical silver truck with black accents... was wondering about the tacoma overlays, do they legit cover the entire word/letters or does it leave a little chrome around the edges? kinda hard to tell on my computer...

It's not an overlay, but just covers the flat part of the letters on the nameplate. Just knocks the chrome down a bit. You usually see a contrasting color just as black or red. The grey just of blends in. Since the wheels are machined, I wanted a touch on the truck. If I swap wheels or powder coat someday, I'll likely remove the badges.
