Just took this pic. Had to move things around in driveway. Hood is open because the Daddywagon and my blue mustang are currently sharing a coil wire and I had to move both cars. Haha!

I drove it to work 64 miles round trip yesterday without incident. Really happy!

Thanks! In person it is pretty rough. I found dinoc woodgrain online and I’m gonna have the moldings hydro dipped a light colored woodgrain. There’s also a section of rust I have to patch behind the right side rear wheelwell. But it drives pretty good!

Can’t stop driving it! It’s registered and insured but no inspection stickers. So when the evening comes along I start cruising! Haha!

I am out of money to fix what’s wrong for the time being, but I am gonna get it inspected tomorrow. My Giants suck and I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. This wagon is my only consolation! Haha! Also expect to see a DADDYWAGON decal applied within the next 2 weeks. There is definitely more to come; God willing. I still have that 351w awaiting rebuild. I also want the Brembo cobra “r” front brakes and a torsen t2 limited slip. Add to that all of the necessary ordinary repairs it needs and this thread may continue for a bit.

Sleepers are supposed to be a little rough. Or certainly unexpected, as your wagon is.

I kinda liked the white wheel look you had going. But on this black setup you might try fitting a trim/beauty ring. I think it would compliment the trim on the rest of the car.

    Enjoying following along!

Trim rings are on the list. I saw a set on ebay. Just haven’t had a chance to pull the trigger on a set yet. There is always something more pressing to buy.

I ordered 3 of them! Should I put one on each side too?

Ok. I am investigating a driveability issue. It turns out the old fuel tank had rust inside that was clogging up the strainer on the fuel pump. I don’t know if any damage was done to the pump, but I decided to get the new tank in there. I passed on the tank before because I could not get the tank bolted up. Well the problem persists. I don’t understand why ford couldn’t make these bolts for the fuel tank straps 1 inch longer? So the Daddywagon is down for repairs again. I am going to fix the bolt problem at work tomorrow. Hopefully then I can start cruising again.

I would leave it with just the one
Less is more and all that.

I wouldn’t have put any but then again those wheels may help you stand out alone!

Driving it again! Went for a drive tonight after finally getting the fuel tank strapped up. It was a bear but I got it done.

That’s what I was thinking. Maybe I’ll label my toolbox or something.

Black steel cop car wheels don’t really stand out too much.

Ok. I think proof of concept time is over. The guys at work and my brother said it’ll never hit the road. Well. I proved to the naysayers that it can be done. Now the exhaust fumes from the headers that I threw on there because the stock headers were crap, are killing me. And while I could go ahead and mess around with the 302 until I got it to be a little more driveable... I’m just gonna go ahead and throw a 351 in there. Why dick around with the 302 anymore? It won’t be the 351 I have planned because that requires machine shop money during a time when my daughter is about to graduate from college and the *^*^’s about to hit the fan. No. I have a 351 out of a lightning that I put a stock mustang roller cam into. One of the timing cover/water pump bolt holes is heli-coiled a wee bit offset but it is otherwise all there. The previous did install 1.72:1 roller rockers on it which should help my cause. Yeah. I am pretty much gonna throw it in there and see what happens.
