I think we should start a GoFundMe to get him some gopros... I wanna see this thing on a track.

Haha! Generous... but not necessary. It’s just a matter of time I think. NJMP is probably closest to me. I have to make sure the car passes tech/safety. So there’s still stuff to do. But if someone has experience attending open track events and has advice, I’m all ears! Especially if you’ve driven a fox body on a road course.

You can find GoPros in pawn shops, normally in the case next to where they keep the guns.

Apparently those things are popular with the "I can no longer afford this/stole it from my roommate" crowd.

Video has been a problem for me definitely. I want to share the fun I’m having but camera setup and the need for another person or even another vehicle to shoot video from has always prevented me from producing good videos of the Daddywagon. I stumbled upon a piece of tech which may have solved this dilemma. It’s called The Insta360 One X. I worked some extra hours at work and I just might pull the trigger on this. If I do hopefully I can add some video content to this thread!

I bought it. Now I just need to buy some accessories and a memory card. Picture quality isn’t great but it simplifies the making of a video. I am looking forward to creating fun videos.

I am having a little bit of difficulty editing. It’s gonna take some time to get the hang of it. It’s nice to just put the camera in the car and aim in post production!

Is it me, or do we need to add a headliner to your to-do list?

I’m going full mustang dash and console. That will include the shift boot and park brake. The foot operated park brake was a fail. I tried to maintain the factory cable routing and the cables basically rubbed the inside sidewalls of both tires... significantly. The answer is yes I want a complete cosmetic restoration, but I will not change the color or get rid of the woodgrain... probably.

Please at least keep it period spec. I'm seeing too many classic cars "with a modern touch"... tacky if you ask me.

I love the 80's design for some reason.

Well Neil, I finally took the leap. I picked up an '81 Fox coupe with ttops. She's really rough but I guess the coupe with ttops is super rare.
