So I picked up a 2020 DCLB TRD OR a couple weeks ago and installed a tonneau cover and some dvd headrests. While researching the OEM tailgate lock, I stumbled on TW. Now I have more mods and upgrades planned for my Tacoma than I ever would have considered with my previous Ford trucks. I have always wanted a Toyota truck ever since watching Back to the Future as a child, but for some reason didn’t pull the trigger till now. Still trying to decide if I want to have a lift installed on the new truck or just leave it stock. Anyway I’m happy to be here and look forward to learning from all of you.

Depends what you want. Stock suspension equals less problems if you aren’t off-roading it. But yeah, I came here and now I’m thousands into suspension alone lol

Welcome to the forum from Eastern North Carolina!

My recommendation is to leave the tires/wheels/suspension stock, or at least stock SIZE.
If you do, I think that you'll be much happier with it in the long run.

Thanks for the warm welcome. I will probably wait a few years and run the stock tires bald before I make any serious decisions on a lift. To be honest I was a bit surprised to see most of you saying to leave it as is. Good stuff

You all were not kidding about the additional spending when owning a Tacoma and being a member on TW. In just a couple months I have spent about $1000 on accessories and upgrades.

Best time to buy a lift is early. You can still sell the OEM suspension for a lot and the bokys arent rusted over and locked. Watch the YouTube how to by OME and do it yourself!

If you Plan to Offroad it or not, you bought a 4wd Toyota. At the least it needs to be like they should come factory. 3” higher with 285s.
