My first Tacoma!

I just picked up my first Tacoma, heck my first Toyota even. its a 2005 single cab, bone stock. So far I love it. Good to find some others online that I can share things with as I learn more about it.

One thing, my radio isnt picking up many stations at all. Is this a known issue or just my antenna wire being lose or something?

Hello & welcome. As for the radio, maybe there is a loose connection someplace. Maybe behind the headunit.

 

Welcome to TW. I agree about the connection issue with the antenna. My truck has no problem picking up stations.

 

Thanks for the warm welcome. I plan to get some spictures uploaded this weekend while it still looks new. Its a daily driver so no plans to do anything extreme with it.

As for the radio, I plan to pop out the head unit and check the antenna too, just need the time to do it. Since its picking up some stations, and is fuzzy I am assuming its just a lose antenna.

 

Congrats, on the new truck....

I have noticed that these trucks don't get the best reception from their stock antenna, and if you get one of those shorties...forget it. My dad has one on his 07 and it gets fuzzy some times.

 

Well I tried to use a couple photo share site and none are working here. Strange. I'll figure it out later I guess.
